Historia
Here is the novel that will be forever considered a triumph of the imagination. Set on the desert planet Arrakis, Dune is the story of the boy Paul Atreides, who would become the mysterious man known as Maud'dib. He would avenge the traitorous plot against his noble family and would bring to fruition humankind's most ancient and unattainable dream.

Inconsistent voicing
Revisado: 03-03-24
The lack of consistency with who reads for each part brings a confusion to the story that is unnecessary.

Historia
Things I Would Like to Do with You is about love. A love for a new generation. A love that includes room for independence, change, humor...even loneliness. Poetically searching through four seasons, this is a sweet book to curl up next to a fire and listen to.

Horrible in every way
Revisado: 11-03-21
To be quite clear, I begin this book expecting it to be rather Sweet, and at some point or another overly sentimental, or as a child would put it, mushy. What I did not expect is a book where the only good rating is the quotes of other riders the self-indulgence of the writer In over exaggerator to a point where he sounds like a strange dimensions version of a petulant child, that might have learned a new word, and things far too highly of himself. Also, this author should be psychologically evaluated and anyone thinking of dating him should truly consider that he seems rather obsessive and delusional.
Please forgive any spelling or grammatical errors in my review. I am reviewing this via speak to text because wasting the time trying to type this out would be yet more life wasted on such a pathetic thing. I almost called it a book, but I feel like I cannot give it even that, it is simply a thing.

Historia
"Forty-four percent of the American population is convinced that Jesus will return to judge the living and the dead sometime in the next 50 years," writes Sam Harris. "Imagine the consequences if any significant component of the U.S. government actually believed that the world was about to end and that its ending would be glorious. The fact that nearly half of the American population apparently believes this...should be considered a moral and intellectual emergency."

Sam Harris Short
Revisado: 03-21-16
Very short but to the point. It is not as beautifully written as a Hitchens, but within the same realm of thinking for certain.

Historia
In the tradition of Bertrand Russell's Why I Am Not a Christian and Sam Harris' recent best-seller, The End of Faith, Christopher Hitchens makes the ultimate case against religion. With a close and erudite reading of the major religious texts, he documents the ways in which religion is a man-made wish, a cause of dangerous sexual repression, and a distortion of our origins in the cosmos.

Fantastic

Not a claim made without fact and evidence. Perfect for the critical thinker who has an interest in knowing why the religious seem to annoy the ever loving crap out of them.
