Historia
The Passage of Power follows Lyndon Johnson through both the most frustrating and the most triumphant periods of his career - 1958 to 1964. It is a time that would see him trade the extraordinary power he had created for himself as Senate Majority Leader for what became the wretched powerlessness of a Vice President in an administration that disdained and distrusted him. Yet it was, as well, the time in which the presidency, the goal he had always pursued, would be thrust upon him in the moment it took an assassin’s bullet to reach its mark.

Best biography

IMO Caro is the best biographer out there with incredible research and thoroughness. He does not hold back the good or the bad of president Johnson.

He learned everything he needed while fighting against the German air force and the famous Flying Circus commanded by Manfred von Richthofen. In this biography of his wartime experiences, Eddie tells us of his midair adventures and battles as well as how he learned to "defeat the hun" and earned the title of Ace.

Have to be pretty interested in the UK
Revisado: 02-22-17
Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Found this book interesting because we want to tour the UK. Book kind of drawn out and dry sometimes though Bryson can be humorous.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
Author finds some interesting trivia around England at off the beaten track towns and cities. Least interested in Bryson's personal political views.
If this book were a movie would you go see it?
Might just because we read book.

Amazing story

What did you love best about Crashing Through?
Amazing account of an extraordinary blind man who gets restoration of vision.
Any additional comments?
This is an interesting story, but needs to be abridged in some parts--too long descriptions of feelings etc.

This fiction
Revisado: 02-22-17
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Reader who enjoys fictional WWII German novels.
What was most disappointing about Wolfgang Faust’s story?
This would be an okay WWII novel, but it is presented as a memoir which ruined it for me. Author appears to know his tanks, and maybe a WWII German vet, but storyline is obvious novel. Unbelievable things happen in war, but this is fiction.
What character would you cut from Tiger Tracks?
This was supposed to be non-fiction!
