Historia
Science fiction allows us to go places we can only dream of seeing - other worlds, distant stars, entirely different galaxies. While not every story is concerned with the hard science behind space travel and other futuristic ventures, fiction can give us amazing insight into what we could be capable of and what we dream of doing. In these 10 lectures, Professor Erin Macdonald interweaves real science and the achievements of the imagination to reveal the truth that underlies our favorite stories and sheds light on what the future may hold.

Don’ need to be a scientist
Revisado: 03-29-20
Pretty clear explanations for a non-scientist with no background in the topics. It merits repeated listening.

Interesting Tale Well Told
Revisado: 06-22-17
Paxton is a fine speaker and clearly knows the material. It is hard to keep track of all the names at some points.

Golding has given us a parable that regrettably remains real to this day. Brilliantly written.

Everything you'd want to know about Orson
Revisado: 04-22-16
The narrative is loaded with excessive detail that doesn't illuminate Welles' personality. It remains a fascinating story and well told if long.

Old time SF
Revisado: 03-15-16
A good story and well written, as one would expect from Clark, with good narration. The novel is more interesting for its view of the future, already our past. References to mimeographs and electronics with vacuum tubes amusing.
