Historia
Ten years ago, disaster struck the remote town of Indigo Falls. A horrific event drove the residents underground, into shelters that keep them safe from the danger on the surface. No one speaks about what happened that fateful day, but even the youngest still remember the fear and, most of all, the searing pain when sunlight touched their skin. Now, a handful of families inhabit this bunker together, guided by a charismatic leader named Dr. Imogen Moran.

I wanted to like this book. I was really looking forward to a suspense-filled quick read. That wasn't the case. From the very beginning you could guess how it would turn out and I felt like it took forever to get there. The narrator was just okay.

Historia
For years, rumors of the "Marsh Girl" have haunted Barkley Cove, a quiet town on the North Carolina coast. So in late 1969, when handsome Chase Andrews is found dead, the locals immediately suspect Kya Clark, the so-called Marsh Girl. But Kya is not what they say. Sensitive and intelligent, she has survived for years alone in the marsh that she calls home, finding friends in the gulls and lessons in the sand.

A good book worth your time.

Very good. Not a stay up late page turner but still entertaining. Somewhat predictable. It was worth my time.

Historia
Amber Patterson is fed up. She's tired of being a nobody: a plain, invisible woman who blends into the background. She deserves more - a life of money and power like the one blond-haired, blue-eyed goddess Daphne Parrish takes for granted. To everyone in the exclusive town of Bishops Harbor, Connecticut, Daphne - a socialite and philanthropist - and her real-estate mogul husband, Jackson, are a couple straight out of a fairy tale. Amber's envy could eat her alive...if she didn't have a plan.

Shallow and Predictable
Revisado: 01-01-19
I selected this book because reviews said it was exciting, thrilling, and a page-turner. All the way to the end I was waiting for that. there was absolutely no suspense. It was shallow, predictable, and boring. the reader on the audible version was fine. The story itself is severely lacking.

Historia
For two decades, Davis Phinney was one of America’s most successful cyclists. He won two stages at the Tour de France and an Olympic medal. But after years of feeling off, he was diagnosed with early-onset Parkinson’s. The body that had been his ally was now something else: a prison. The Happiness of Pursuit is the story of how Davis sought to overcome his Parkinson’s by reaching back to what had made him so successful on the bike and adjusting his perspective on what counted as a win. The news of his diagnosis began a dark period for this vibrant athlete, but there was also light.

Wish there was more about Parkinson's
Revisado: 06-01-16
Unfortunately, I had an expectation to read about Parkinson's disease and his struggle learning about and living with the disease. This book is mostly about cycling; races, trials, and his son as a cyclist.
