As the car approached the long, steep driveway, I was suddenly overcome by panic. I had never had much of a normal family life before. But now as the new foster home approached larger than life through the windshield, I realized for the first time that I was an orphan. Maybe not in the traditional sense of the word, but being given up by my father to live with some family was all I needed to be convinced that I was not wanted.

Must read for at risk youth and members of the Social Service system.

It’s rare that you stumble onto a story and a boy like Steven. This story is page turning, easy to read, informative and also heart wrenching. As every chapter flies by, you find yourself rooting for Steven and his situation. His own strong willed nature and resilience are the readers guide through the struggle of his youth. A great read…and a great story.

I really liked this book. It is the most in-depth thing I have ever listened to yet. It completely gets me emerges in this detailed inexisting world. The story is genuinely well and I had a lot of fun reading.
