Historia
"Deadly, unna?" He was always saying that. All the Nungas did, but Dumby more than any of them. Dumby Red and Blacky don't have a lot in common. Dumby's the star of the footy team, he's got a killer smile and the knack with girls, and he's a Nunga. Blacky's a gutless wonder, needs braces, never knows what to say, and he's white. But they're friends...and it could be deadly, unna?

Makes Aboriginal Australia Accessible to All.
Revisado: 04-05-15
While the plot is rich in themes and insight into the relationship between mainstream Australian society and Australian Indigenos culture, the plot was too slow for my liking. it would be well suited to a young male teen audience, and especially if they have an interest in Australian Football (AFL) or sports in general. From the sample, I wasn't expecting the performance to be good, however the narrator really performed well aside from two characters who were not audibly distinguishable.

Historia
One of the most enduring American novels of all time, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn follows the adventures of Huck Finn and a runaway slave named Jim as they travel down the Mississippi river on a raft--all in order to help Jim win his freedom from slavery. Told in Twain's unique style, Huck Finn's story is one of the greatest tales of love, respect, and human decency, told through the eyes of an unlearned, but big-hearted, boy.

Easier to Enjoy.
Revisado: 04-05-15
I've read Huck Finn at least twice, however as I'm not American and have not been exposed to the accents Twain uses, reading the dialects often made me confused or unable to really enjoy the text for its literary richness. Listening to the audio has made it all the more enjoyable and made me appreciate the variety of dialects that exist in the United States. I found the reader of this audiobook to be consistent throughout and able to handle the numerous dialects well.
