Historia
William Chanokh is immortal...and he’s trapped on the Galahad, an interstellar starship on a never-ending journey through open space. His only companions are Capria - mortal and in cryo-sleep - and Gal, an artificial intelligence, and the love of his life, with whom he spends every waking moment in the "Great Escape". After untold years living countless lives, Gal begins acting strange. Betrayed by his digital love, his long-term memory overwritten, and enduring violent manipulation, Will painfully peels back layers of simulation, fighting to reach reality 1.0...

Exceptional!!
Revisado: 04-26-23
I'll be honest I didn't plan on reading this or any other Jeremy Robinson books after the first Infinite. Oh, I liked it well enough. I just was intimidated by a bunch of other books in the timeline that seemed disconnected, plus I had other books in my TBR list that looked more interesting. Once I finally did dive into the universe (universes?), I was hooked. I listened to 12 books in about a month. I couldn't get enough! Having everything tie together in such a cool way that asks existential questions really is such a cake topper on a really great set of books!!

Historia
When a freak accident ruins his body and his memory, Wes Malcolm loses his scholarship and his place in the world. Every treatment has failed, save one: a fully immersive VR game, designed by his late, disgraced father, that mimics the condition his body used to possess. To everyone's disbelief, his body and mind slowly improve, bit by bit, but it's still not enough. Then one night, he wakes up in a world just like the game his father designed. Here, he can grow, learn, and thrive.

I got this book on whim and with a free credit and I'm so happy I did. Likable heros and VERY hateable villans. Give it a shot if your on the fence even a little bit

Revisado: 08-14-21
Bought this on a whim for something to listen to while waiting for another book to come out, and so happy I did! Very well done characters flushed out just the right amount to make them all interesting without getting to bogged down in back story. The magic system is VERY well thought out!! Reminds me of the Dresden files with explaining how and why the magic works instead of a generic fireball or lightning spell. 5 stars!!!

(spoilers)
I've never left a review for a book before. I usually give it some stars and move on, but then again I've never had a ending effect me so much. I won't give away details in case someone missed the above warning I just want to share that I was running when I got to the end of this book and felt as if I was physically struck. I had to stop and sit down and regain my composure. I've listened to all the Joe Ledger books multiple times and felt real emotion for him in this one. Can't wait for the next book!!! Jonathan Maberry creates some of the most interesting characters I've ever met and Ray Porter narrates them perfectly!!!
