Hard to get past the narration
Revisado: 08-24-23
The narration made this a difficult book to finish and to enjoy. I would like to try another in the series but will pass if the narrator is the same.

Historia
When a demolition crew uncovers several bodies inside the walls of a house where serial killer Frank J. Remy once lived, the discovery sends shock waves through the Savannah Police Department. All of the bodies were hidden before Remy's imprisonment and subsequent death thirty-six years earlier - except for one belonging to a missing child. Homicide partners Elise Sandburg and David Gould were the Savannah PD's dream team, solving uncrackable crimes and catching killers.

I Had To Stop!
Revisado: 09-17-22
After 10 chapters I had to stop this audiobook.
The performance is horrendous and made the story feel even more far fetched than likely it was written.
Hope the performer isn’t a regular.

Historia
Sam Hill always saw the world through different eyes. Born with red pupils, he was called “Devil Boy” or Sam “Hell” by his classmates; “God’s will” is what his mother called his ocular albinism. Her words were of little comfort, but Sam persevered. Sam believed it was God who sent Ernie Cantwell, the only African American kid in his class, to be the friend he so desperately needed. And that it was God’s idea for Mickie Kennedy to storm into Our Lady of Mercy like a tornado, uprooting every rule Sam had been taught about boys and girls. Forty years later, Sam, a small-town eye doctor, is no longer certain anything was by design.

Don’t Give Up!
Revisado: 09-15-22
Much like the main character in this story, have perseverance in the early chapters.
I was tempted to stop this audio book. However, I decided to continue to listen during a cross country flight. My decision to do so was rewarded with a story of perseverance, lost faith and faith ultimately restored. This resonated with me as we all have things about ourselves that are unique or events that have occurred in our lives that make us question our faith.
It is well worth the journey.

Historia
Cody Hoyt, while a brilliant cop, is an alcoholic struggling with two months of sobriety when his mentor and AA sponsor Hank Winters is found burned to death in a remote mountain cabin. At first it looks like the suicide of a man who's fallen off the wagon, but Cody knows Hank better than that. Sober for fourteen years, Hank took pride in his hard-won sobriety and never hesitated to drop whatever he was doing to talk Cody off a ledge. When Cody takes a closer look at the scene of his friend's death, it becomes apparent that foul play is at hand.

Slow to Build Story and Main Character Too Flawed
Revisado: 01-08-22
The last third of the book had a more compelling storyline and was better paced. While I get the main character has flaws to overcome in the storyline the sheer number of flaws made it unbelievable. The first half of the book was too slow to evolve. Thought many of the characters were overdone , the precocious younger sister, the self absorbed older sister among some of the others.
The artist performing was fine.
Love mysteries and thrillers. This one just didn’t have me eagerly wanting to get to the next chapter.

Historia
On a night flight from London to Boston, Ted Severson meets the stunning and mysterious Lily Kintner. Sharing one too many martinis, the strangers begin to play a game of truth, revealing very intimate details about themselves. Ted talks about his marriage that's going stale and his wife, Miranda, who he's sure is cheating on him. Ted and his wife were a mismatch from the start - he the rich businessman, she the artistic free spirit - a contrast that once inflamed their passion but has now become a cliché.

Interesting Book With Strange Ending
Revisado: 12-30-20
Guess the author couldn’t let the main character seemingly get away with murder.
So a quick contrived ending was created.

Waste of Money
Revisado: 12-10-19
I thought this would have been done in collaboration with Ms Bybee. Unfortunately no one associated with the novelist participated.
This results in someone’s opinion of the author’s intent. I finished but wished I didn’t.
