In this action-packed sequel to The Wizard of OZ: A Steampunk Adventure, American author S.D. Stuart returns to the Australis Penal Colony, where an ancient, and devastating, weapon was hidden a millennium ago. Imprisoned by the Southern Marshal, a half-human, half-lion hybrid lives behind an electrified fence with others like him. His only chance at freedom is to locate and recover this ancient weapon before a mysterious shadow organization uses it to conquer the world.

Where does The Scarecrow of OZ rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This is one of my top favorites. This as well as the first installment of the story. The story is so engaging and fun and a COMPLETELY different take on oz. This is not your normal Dorothy and the ruby red slippers. In the second installment of the story we follow Caleb ("the lion") on his quest to find Dorothy. They were split up shortly after making their way over the wall into the other side of oz. Caleb is determined to find Dorothy and proceed in their previous quest. The authors transition to the new and continued story lines is amazing. We run into old and new characters that all assist on Caleb and Dorothy's adventure.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Scarecrow of OZ?
Some of the most memorable moments are the twists of finding out who is a "scarecrow." I can't list most of the memorable moments with out giving away some of the twists and turns in the plot. Just know that the whole book is memorable and it is worth reading to find out what they are!!
Any additional comments?
The narration of this book is spectacular. The voices and excitement in Amanda's voice really help to take the reader into oz and really picture and feel the story. It is a great listen and highly recommended!!

Historia
Bickering frenemies Meg and Shar are doing some serious damage at a midnight sample sale when the fashionistas find themselves arguing over a pair of shoes - with fatal consequences. One innocent bystander later, the girls are suddenly at the mercy of Hades, Lord of the Underworld himself. To make them atone for what they've done, Hades forces the teens to become special-assignment Sirens, luring to the Underworld an individual whose unholy contract is up.

Cat fight turned friendship w/ mythological twist
Revisado: 11-28-13
If you could sum up Sirenz in three words, what would they be?
Fashion, friends and gods
What did you like best about this story?
I loved the friendship that formed in this book and all of the mythology that was cleverly used to form that friendship. The girls are so different but somehow they find a way to work together. In the beginning (if this were enacted with dolls) it's like Barbie and and a monster high doll meet and fight over ken... Although you might be surprised who wins. The character 'eg reminds me of myself a bit and I immediately connected with that character and looked forward to her chapters.
Which character – as performed by Amanda C. Miller – was your favorite?
Meg was my favorite. Char was to perky and pink for me. I related with Meg immediately and couldn't wait for her next part. She reminds me of myself a lot and I really connected with Amanda's performance of the character.
Who was the most memorable character of Sirenz and why?
I think it would have to be Jeremy or Hades. Jeremy because I can not get Char out of my head calling him sweet jeans. And what love interest that starts as a love triangle isn't memorable? And Hades because he starts all the trouble! He is always involved and popping up unexpectedly. He is the start of how you know this is not just a normal story about friendship. Without him... There is no story!
Any additional comments?
Good book overall and a great narration!

Historia
There is no yellow brick road here. No emerald city. No lollipop guild. This is the Australis Penal Colony, a continent sized prison referred to the world over as the Outcast Zone. Built to contain the world's most dangerous criminals, OZ ended up the dumping ground for everything polite society deemed undesirable. From inside this place, a garbled message proves Dorothy's father is still alive, trapped in a prison with only one way in and no way out.

Great new version of "oz"
Revisado: 11-24-13
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, this was a great new version of The Wizard of Oz. This isn't your typical Dorothy and Toto lost on the yellow brick road. Dorothy is on the search for her father in the "outcast zone" the worlds largest prison. In this completely new adaptation of a classic land the characters and story are brought to life by a very talented enthusiastic narrator. It is a great listen and I would recommend it to all.
What did you like best about this story?
Personally all the twists and turns and how everything comes together in this story is the best part. The book keeps you guessing and leaves you wondering how and when Dorothy will cross characters paths, and when she does how it will turn out. The twists and turns and the emotional roller coaster ride this book takes you on is great. The character development is deep and wonderful and sucks you in.
Have you listened to any of Amanda C. Miller’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
This is the first performance from Amanda I have listened to and it was wonderful. Can not wait to listen to more.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
If I could have listened to this in one sitting I would have. It took me only three days to get through the book and it would have been a shorter time period if I had more free time!
Any additional comments?
This is a great book to listen to. You won't be disappointed. I could totally see this being a movie. It's great and I am going crazy waiting for the next one it's that good!
