I loved the contents of this book - life changing if taken seriously. The audiobook reader was a bit overdramatic for a psychology book; they'd do better in fiction (they were sometimes sounding judgemental, which is not good for a book on healing, and the tone was more distracting than helpful at times).

C. S. Lewis has always been one of my favorite thinkers both for his insight as well as for his common-sense approach to difficult topics. As a person who has studied both philosophy and theology at the graduate level, I can honestly say that I am envious of Lewis' ability to navigate difficult moral theories and social dilemmas with an approachable clarity and brevity. For example, Lewis begins this book by navigating through difficult ethical theories, both summarizing them briefly and critiquing them without giving the reader the impression that he's engaging in some sort of high-level philosophy or without having to waste too much ink by describing these theories in highly abstract terms (even though what he is communicating is pertinent to abstract philosophy). While some of his arguments are suspect here (after all, the topics he discusses remain controversial), I found many of his other arguments to lucid and cogent.
Lewis's thoughtfulness, combined with Rhind-Tutt's performance, makes for a stimulating experience.
