My first from this author and two thumbs up. I like this genre and it didn’t disappoint. Nice that it wasn’t full of sex scenes either. I wish the narrator was different, but she did ok, nothing that would have made me regret the credit. It just took some getting used to as she goes quieter by the end of the sentence so I had to listen to it a bit louder than normal. I’m starting the next one in the series right now! So many characters to look forward to seeing again and getting to really hear about the magic!

Plot twist from the start! Very good! The ending was kinda rushed and unfinished like it gave us a flash forward without a ending

Must listen
Revisado: 04-25-25
I thought this would be a light hearted comedy. Wrong. The almost rape scene was so amazing- author pit into words what a lot of young high school women experience. It’s all the words and feelings a lot of us would stuff in a closet and lock the key rather than examine. This is was like therapy. It’s also a funny book. The banter and joking in it were good. What a great love story! It’s a woman getting closure with her first love and getting a fresh start with him, getting to say F off to an ugly ex multiple times, dealing with family complexity, tackling life that she put on hold, and the telling of how to finish growing up and gaining courage and clarity to pursue happiness and dreams! So overall amazing and not a fluff book

This was ok. I wasn’t into it as much as the first book. The narrator’s were good, but the first book had better ones . perhaps that’s what made it better. Just didn’t capture me like the first book

Historia
In the morning, she was gone and had taken my solace with her. I left for the military that day, vowing never to return to Pennsylvania. When my father dies, I’m forced to go home to bury him. At least I'll finally be rid of his farm, which is grown over and tangled with memories I've fought to forget. And that’s when I find her. She’s even more beautiful than I remember and has the most adorable kid I’ve ever seen. Years have passed, but my feelings are the same, and this time I refuse to let her go. They say you can't bury the past, and they're right.

It’s was ok
Revisado: 03-30-25
I wish the guy narrated the whole time. I’m not sure I liked the little kid voice and in chapter 37 the female voice changed all throughout it like she was forgetting which voice she used for the character. The story was good other than that. I do think it’s dumb that the boys made a no marriage and kids pact-that makes no sense and wasn’t explained until very late in the story

"No killing Goblins." So reads the sign outside of The Wandering Inn, a small building run by a young woman named Erin Solstice. She serves pasta with sausage, blue fruit juice, and dead acid flies on request. And she comes from another world. Ours. It's a bad day when Erin finds herself transported to a fantastical world and nearly gets eaten by a Dragon. She doesn't belong in a place where monster attacks are a fact of life, and where Humans are one species among many. But she must adapt to her new life. Or die.

Horrible narrator
Revisado: 03-19-25
She sounds fine until her character speaks. She makes the girl sound like a 10 year old with a really bad fake laugh. It’s so annoying and bad that I’ve given up after chapter 3. This could have been an ok story it seems, but not enough for me to like the narrator.

It’s Monsters Night, the annual event where the portals to other realms and realities open, and monsters flood the streets to search for their potential mates. And I’m one of the candidates. Why? Because I broke all the rules. I fought back against the elitist system hellbent on enslaving humankind. And f--k if I’m going to let one of these monsters claim me. Let alone three of themOrcus.

Liked the story
Revisado: 03-08-25
Did not like the sex scenes. It was overall well written except that. How many times do you have to put the word “consent” in a sex scene!? I’m all for consent, but I think it being mentioned once would be fine. Instead it felt like a sex ed class showing safe sex. I didn’t listen to the book for the explicit parts, but it made me skip through

While her smart mouth and free spirit are irresistibly irritating, he can't deny their off-the-charts chemistry. Having just been expelled from college, Sam has no business digging for Grayson's secrets while she's hiding her own, but that doesn't stop her from trying to tear down his walls. Each barrier she busts through drops one of her own, though, and she's not prepared for the truth....

Horrible female narrator
Revisado: 01-28-25
The male narrator would have been enjoyable to listen to all by his self. Female narrators “male” voice was so cringe. It really made me stop listening. I’m going to just read the summary online. Maybe the story would have been good if I didn’t have to listen to her- but I will never know

This was not a good narrator for this book. Every time she says “oh” it’s just cringe. Her sex scene narration was worse. The characters I haven’t fallen in love with. I don’t think the love hate tug and pull is believable.

If you really love theatre then maybe you will like this. It was a first listening to a book recorded this way. I wasn’t a fan of all the back ground noise, I also didn’t care for all the awkwardness between the two characters or all the poetry workshop feel
