Historia
Certainly the two should never have met. The handsome, wealthy Marquess of Rockingham was the most notorious man in London, as infamous for his violent temper as he was for his intemperate ways. Miss Lucinda Westerville was a country vicar's daughter, as innocent as she was lovely and as proper as a young lady could possibly be. Yet when this improbably matched pair met at a glittering social ball, they had struck the dubious bargain to become man and wife.

Historia
A runaway international bestseller, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry followed its unassuming hero on an incredible journey as he traveled the length of England on foot—a journey spurred by a simple letter from his old friend Queenie Hennessy, writing from a hospice to say goodbye. Harold believed that as long as he kept walking, Queenie would live. What he didn’t know was that his decision to walk had caused her both alarm and fear. How could she wait? What would she say? Forced to confront the past, Queenie realizes she must write again.

I love this book. Read Harold first then get another point of view. While you don’t need one for the other, you will want to read anything Rachel Joyce after you read Harold Fry. I love Queenie!

Historia
Meet Harold Fry, recently retired. He lives in a small English village with his wife, Maureen, who seems irritated by almost everything he does, even down to how he butters his toast. Little differentiates one day from the next. Then one morning the mail arrives, and within the stack of quotidian minutiae is a letter addressed to Harold in a shaky scrawl from a woman he hasn’t seen or heard from in twenty years. Queenie Hennessy is in hospice and is writing to say goodbye.

Wanted more- I think I’d call this a short story. Love what I read, but when I thought we were getting to the story itself, it ended. Would have enjoyed more reading than listening. 5 star read, 4 star listen unless you pay attention to length of audible books better than I do!

Historia
The transition to clean energy is moving far too slowly. Trapped by a century of fossil fuel investments and politicians that struggle to plan beyond the next election, the “Big Grid” that powers our modern world is outdated and in dire need of an upgrade. Freeing Energy offers a new and faster path towards a clean energy future — one that is more reliable, more equitable, and cheaper.

Interesting, inspirational and educational!
Revisado: 01-07-22
As a fan of the Freeing Energy podcast and having a business relationship with Bill's son, Alex of Wattch.io, I bought the audio book right away. The history of the "big grid" industry with many metaphors and analogies (and one parable) comparing the invovations that society has experienced throughout history brings to life the inevitable future of how we will all have electric vehicles, not have an antiquated power grid system and will have electricity for all humans (great stories about Puerto Rico and Africa). I appreciate Bill's dedication, geekiness and enthusiam about the future of how we will get most, if not all, of our electricty in the future via renewable energy. This is a great story that everyone needs to hear to understand how we will all be living in the future. I will have to listen to it twice so that I can try and absorb all of the stats.

Historia
Woodward, the number-one international bestselling author of Fear: Trump in the White House, has uncovered the precise moment the president was warned that the Covid-19 epidemic would be the biggest national security threat to his presidency. In dramatic detail, Woodward takes readers into the Oval Office as Trump’s head pops up when he is told in January 2020 that the pandemic could reach the scale of the 1918 Spanish Flu that killed 675,000 Americans.
