Historia
Meet John Milton. He considers himself an artisan. A craftsman. His trade is murder. Milton is the man the government sends after you when everything else has failed. Ruthless. Brilliant. Anonymous. Lethal. You wouldn't pick him out of a crowd but you wouldn't want to be on his list. In this second dip into his case files (see 1000 Yards for a further novella), Milton is sent to Italy to investigate the death of a colleague from Group 15.

After tying up some last-minute loose ends, she rushes to Euston and boards the Caledonian Sleeper, headed north on a 500 mile, 10-hour journey through the night. Love a good story
Revisado: 11-04-24
Took me a while to get comfortable with the readers accent and pronunciation but it was worth it and added a lot to the story-loved it, and the main characters were presented in very good depth, just enoughthat you really felt it when” bad things” (not to spoil it) happen.
Great work!!!

Excellent wind up and finally the pitch, a strike!
Revisado: 09-15-24
Incredibly interesting and winding story line, surprisingly easy to follow. I love Chandler’s unhurried presentation and appreciate his pronunciation of the inupiak names which I don’t think I could ever do.
The only regret is that it seems like the end of an era, but I pray this is not the end of the tales about Arliss - fascinating!!!

The ending
Revisado: 07-12-24
I found it impossible to follow for the first quarter of the book - the myriad of names on various factions I found bewildering to keep straight. But after a few of them were disposed of, it became a lot less confusing and wound up being an excellent read.

Historia
The murder of an esteemed archaeologist is fueling an already heated war between natives and the academics who excavate their land. And when the coroner confirms that the victim was cannibalized, the story takes a twisted turn. Private eye Howard Moon Deer and ex-police chief Jack Wilder are on the case. The killing appears to be a modern mimicry of the Anasazi's rumored past - one the tribe thinks would be best left buried. But Howard and Jack must search for clues even if it means digging up sacred land. As they struggle to fight tribal politics, the killer strikes again.

Love the stories, lose the politics!
Revisado: 02-20-24
I love the premises you conjure up, very unique takes on cops and robbers - kinda unique - BUT…. Really, your liberal underwear is showing! Really? Blaming Reagan for homelessness???? I have no idea where you are from but in New England homelessness skyrocketed when Gov Dukakis closed all the mental health hospitals. 90% of the street people were off there rocker, but now its drugs and the liberal border treatment and drug enforcement.

Most people think that being prepared for catastrophe means stocking up on MREs and building a bunker in their backyard, but this approach leaves you vulnerable in the real world of car accidents, natural disasters, grid failures, and global pandemics. Prepared overturns today’s paranoid survival wisdom and teaches the foundational skills of preparedness that will not only help you build situational awareness and achieve greater mobility but that will also help you build resilient mental habits.
