Historia
Tiffany can't avoid being funny: it's just who she is. But The Last Black Unicorn is so much more than a side-splittingly hilarious collection of essays - it's a memoir of the struggles of one woman who came from nothing and nowhere. A woman who was able to achieve her dreams by reveling in her pain and awkwardness, showing the world who she really is, and inspiring others through the power of laughter.

Historia
Reeling from a traumatic break-in, Emma wants a new place to live. But none of the apartments she sees are affordable or feel safe. Until One Folgate Street. The house is an architectural masterpiece: a minimalist design of pale stone, plate glass, and soaring ceilings. But there are rules. The enigmatic architect who designed the house retains full control: no books, no throw pillows, no photos or clutter or personal effects of any kind. The space is intended to transform its occupant—and it does.

Took a billion years to get going
Revisado: 02-21-18
Is there anything you would change about this book?
This audio book was broken up in two sections. The entire first section was not needed.
If you’ve listened to books by Adam J. Nicolai before, how does this one compare?
N/A
What about Marc Vietor’s performance did you like?
It was OK
Do you think Alex needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?
Heck no! I couldnt take another follow up to this! Took too long to get going, and then when it finally DID get going, it seemed like it was a rushed ending bursting full of information!

Historia
On a hot summer night in Houston, two teenage girls-bright, beautiful, success-bound friends took a shortcut home from a friend's apartment to make their curfew. They never reached their homes. But not until an anonymous 911 call four days later were the bodies of Jennifer Ertman and Elizabeth Pena finally recovered.

This was inclusive of the equivalent of someone reading a police report with a lot of names and unlike a police report, a lot of unnecessary details that leads to a useless purchase!

Historia
One of the comedy world's fastest-rising stars tells his wild coming of age story during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa and the tumultuous days of freedom that followed. Noah provides something deeper than traditional memoirists: powerfully funny observations about how farcical political and social systems play out in our lives.

Can a autobiography get much better?
Revisado: 11-01-17
I don't think so! Trevor Noah takes us to his home in Africa. Growing up bi-racial, lighter skinned he forges his way through all that life throws at him, in a laugh out loud type of dry wit that has become his hallmark. I was swept up in this wonderfully written audiobook with his gentile accent to a land that I hadnt had any former understanding of, but learned it seemed an awful lot like my own, sans the strong mom! Loved it, love him - he left me wanting more!

Helpful tips despite the snooze-worthy voice!

I enjoy reading/hearing productivity books. This guy has really helpful Tips, but the voice is just bad in my opinion. Thank goodness it's a short book! Signed up for his email!

Great story but audio voice is messed up!
Revisado: 10-24-15
Loved the story-about a love story that produced a bi racial girl in a world where there were no other minorities, and her life of difficulties due to layers of secrets.
The problem with the overall audio of this book was that suddenly, the main character & all the characters to follow begins to speak with a Jamaican lilt- yet no one was from the Caribbean or elsewhere outside of Louisiana USA, Wales, or either Germany or England....
