Only that human nature gives us horror in life, that demands to we know it's always there, in the seedy background of rational thought.

Drew me in fast, and i finished in on perfect sitting...
Revisado: 08-12-24
The audio and background sound effects.
The performance of the actors was awesome kind of left me sitting on my seat, wondering what’s going on, so therefore the back-and-forth of the personalities was very intriguing and well thought out ... I think 😂.
I do love the idiosyncrasy of their being two sides of a personality or more at all times and we may not always like the other side, but we do have to learn to live with it. hopefully we choose the better side, but which one is better?

Historia
Growing up on the Navajo Indian Reservation, David Crow and his siblings idolized their dad. Tall, strong, smart, and brave, the self-taught Cherokee regaled his family with stories of his World War II feats. But as time passed, David discovered the other side of Thurston Crow, the ex-con with his own code of ethics that justified cruelty, violence, lies - even murder. A shrewd con artist with a genius IQ, Thurston intimidated David with beatings to coerce him into doing his criminal bidding. David's mom, too mentally ill to care for her children, couldn't protect him.

Why i didnt listen sooner...?
Revisado: 07-09-24
The grapfic detail of a boy from birth to adulthood, crept up on me slowly, the topics of a childhood filled with abuse, that is totally and completely out of control, amazed me.
I felt kinship with this boy... Everytime his father abused him physically, made me prickle with the zaps of pain, i felt as a child, and that child feeling a dram of guilt for saying i was whipped as a child!
That is a completely different thing than being beat until you bleed, as a child.
I cry for his childhood, but i smile and feel satisfied, that he did not let it drag him down to the bottom.
When your environment isn't offering you positivity and support... Eventually you have to make the decision...live or die.
Pamela, BC, Canada... Thank you Mr Crow.

Historia
It was four o'clock in the morning. A young woman pushed through the hospital doors. Staff would later say they thought the woman was a new mother, returning to her child - and in a way, she was. She walked into the nursery, where a baby girl lay sleeping. The infant didn't wake when the woman placed her gently in the shopping bag she had brought with her. There is CCTV footage of what happened next, and most Australians would have seen it, either on the internet or the news.

Two words: the bullet. That's all it takes to shatter her life. Caroline Cashion is beautiful, intelligent, a professor of French literature. But in a split second, everything she's known is proved to be a lie. A single bullet, gracefully tapered at one end, is found lodged at the base of her skull. Caroline is stunned. It makes no sense: She has never been shot. She has no entry wound, no scar. Then, over the course of one awful evening, she learns the truth.

Great story!
Revisado: 09-16-23
The all of a sudden appearance of the doc at first threw me and then the actions of the main character made me feel that the story was being rushed to the ending...
Could have definitely been out to enhance the twists of true ending.
Good listen! Great author!

2nd try and no... Too bad, I'll fund the book.
Revisado: 10-08-22
I bet the story is awesome,.. it seems up my alley,.. But the narrator is not doing justice,
I do not often have to adjust the speed etc. And keep looking at details to determine why I keep trying... Looks like a great story ☺️
