Janet Cruz offers valuable knowledge in this hopeful, helpful book.
Addiction has many faces, and all of us have to deal with it to one degree or another.
Learning how the mind works and how compelling the addictive trigger is helps peel back the curtain and open a pathway to permanent recovery.
Very well-researched and has a very nice blend of current scientific insights with personal stories of recovery.
This is a toolbox full of practical tips that will help anyone deal with problems such as relapse, the recovery process, and dealing with different substances and qualities of addiction. Highly recommended!

Author Janet Cruz outlines a powerful path to effective communication in this insightful book.
I love her emphasis on becoming an effective listener, something I found immediately useful by understanding the six steps to make one receptive and understanding in any communication. Recognizing and understanding nonverbal cues is also a real boon. This book is a powerful adjunct in personal, social, and business communications, and will help you to become centered and powerful in all the daily realms of interaction. It's refreshing to have these effective tools for clear expression, active listening, and the ability to build strong relationships. Highly recommended.

The Power of belief and a mindset that's on track with your personal transformation is the key. Author John Wright gives us fascinating, useful, and practical information to fine-tune your mind. As a person with lifelong weight issues, I can tell you that Mr. Wright is spot on with the information in this valuable audiobook. We concentrate so much on trying to make our food behave instead of realizing that everything happens first in the mind. By going into the control room so to speak within your mind, you can successfully manage points of stress in your life, bolster your positive self-belief, and magnetize a healthy lifestyle that is both enjoyable and sustainable. This is one of the most useful and practical books I've run across on weight-loss, and I highly recommend it.

Pickleball is one of those arcane words I’ve heard tossed about in recent days that really had no meaning for me.
Enter “Pickleball Basics” by author James Stuart and wow, the curtain really gets pulled back!
I was surprised to learn how economical it is to get into this family-friendly sport, and that it’s far more than just a physical activity. The strategies involved will keep everyone engaged and the smaller court means a far more intimate environment, without all the constant running and physical challenges other racquet sports demand.
I haven’t listened to any other books on pickleball, but it’s difficult to imagine a more complete, thorough, engaging, or informative book on the subject. Quite literally, everything one needs to know is right here, and it’s all delivered by Luke Oldham’s great narration.
Ready to make family time and time with friends special? Give this great book a listen and you can be playing today!

I was introduced to fasting over 50 years ago by Paul Bragg’s classic book, “The Miracle of Fasting."
It has been a regular part of my life ever since.
Linda Park does a terrific job, introducing the science and practice of intermittent fasting for post-menopausal women. Her advice for fitting intermittent fasting into your busy daily schedule pretty much leaves everyone without an excuse to give it a try. I particularly liked her collection of over 100 delicious recipes to help you along your way to a thinner and healthier you.
Readers will also enjoy the 28-day meal plan that has everything mapped out in an easy-to-understand way.
If you have ever considered the benefits of intermittent fasting, “The Simple Guide to Intermittent Fasting for Women Over 50” is a terrific place to start.

Author Joy Chester presents her wonderful concept of presenting full-spectrum mythology from ancient cultures in easy-to-understand and thoroughly engaging 10-minute segments.
I love that they're short enough to be shared with my grandkids at bedtime. Each story is beautifully written and completely engaging, and the kids always ask for more at the end!
The narration by Dave Milliken is perfect. You will want to plug these into car trips, plane trips, and, of course, bedtime.
Highly recommended.

It seems like everyone, especially children, is glued to their phones nowadays. That's why this delightful book by Whimsy World Press will leave you as excited as I was to learn so many new things about animals. The different formats which include true-false, multiple choice, riddles, name that song, and would you rather, keep everyone engaged, entertained, and educated. This is a great choice for family night or for a long drive. Lots of fun, get yourself a copy!

I am not a video gamer, and I know absolutely nothing about Fortnite. That's why I passed this book along to my grandson, who is all about everything digital. His expert analysis? Absolutely awesome! I think you can trust this assessment. If you are a Fortnight enthusiast, it sounds like this is a book you must have in your library!

Author Dr. Ashley Sullivan PharmD, lays out an easy-to-understand, straightforward approach to the ins and outs of managing HBP. Besides demystifying medical jargon and presenting everything in a very accessible way, one of the things I enjoyed most about this important book was discovering the proper questions to ask your doctor about HBP.
Too often, the layperson isn't able to ascertain the right questions to ask.
Also helpful are the assorted tips for improving sleep. Good sleep is one of the best doctors of all. The classical triumvirate of diet, exercise, and rest are all approached in practical, easy-to-implement ways. Holistic perspectives are addressed as well, with the entire body of advice within this book covering the full spectrum of managing HBP.
If you or someone you love are dealing with high blood pressure, “Understanding High Blood Pressure” is an absolutely essential book to have in your audible library. Highly recommended.

I always thought that the art of Bonsai was one of those mystical Japanese practices, essentially inscrutable to the Western mind.
What a delight to listen to this eye-opening audiobook and realize how accessible Bonsai is with some basic understandings in place.
The author demystifies the subject of Bonsai, breaking it down into three basic strategies for success.
The accompanying 179-page PDF is a terrific reference, allowing you to have everything at your fingertips in black and white.
I was completely unaware that virtually any kind of plant can be given the Bonsai treatment.
It seems to me this book is all you need to successfully enter the world of Bonsai.
Whether you're a beginner or an old hand, “Bonsai for Beginners” has something for you. Highly recommended.
