While the book itself is exceptionally well-written—thoughtful, rich with insights, and deeply rooted in the realities of racial trauma—I found the choice of narrator quite distracting. The audiobook is read with a tone that feels overly animated and dramatic, more like someone reading a novel or a feel-good memoir. Given the seriousness and sensitivity of the subject matter, the high-pitched, overly expressive delivery felt mismatched and sometimes even jarring. It occasionally pulled me away from the depth and gravity of the message. For a book that speaks so powerfully to lived experience and healing, I feel a more grounded and emotionally attuned narration would have done it more justice. If you're considering this title, I recommend reading the text version for a more direct and resonant experience.

Dare was a game-changer for me. It didn’t just offer tools to manage anxiety—it completely shifted the way I relate to fear and discomfort.
The approach is simple, yet incredibly powerful. It helped me, and continues to help my students, move through anxiety with more courage and clarity.
What I especially appreciated was the way it stripped away the fear of fear itself. There’s something deeply empowering about knowing that we don’t have to fight or run—we can just be with the feeling, and that’s enough.

Level Up was exactly what I needed at this point in my journey—not just for myself, but also for my students. It’s packed with insights and practical wisdom that hit home on so many levels.
One of the things that really stood out to me was Rob’s voice—his tone, the highs and lows, the way he speaks with such honesty and energy—it made the whole experience feel like a conversation with a close friend.
I also loved the parts where he breaks things down with his friend. Those conversations added so much depth and clarity, making each section come alive in a whole new way.
Level Up isn’t just a motivational book—it’s a genuine companion for anyone committed to growth and transformation.
