What a glorious book that binds the spirit of falconer and bird to heart. While reading, I remembered every detail of my most incredible hunts, kills, losses, and the very essence of living a life on the wing.
I’ll be reading it again and again.

A Vital Book!
Revisado: 11-02-20
This is my most favorite book about chronic illnesses. I found out about it in the Facial Pain Foundation's quarterly magazine. I have Trigeminal Neuralgia and many other debilitating chronic illnesses. I feel so alone. I just started chemotherapy. This book really helped me feel more empowered and it brought me comfort in so much darkness.

The answers to these questions are right behind our eyes. The greatest technology we have ever discovered on our planet is the three-pound organ carried in the vault of the skull. This book is not simply about what the brain is; it is about what it does. The magic of the brain is not found in the parts it’s made of but in the way those parts unceasingly reweave themselves in an electric, living fabric.

Exceptional and Eloquent!
Revisado: 09-16-20
The Smallest Lights in the Universe is an eloquent, poetic, and beautiful story. Sara Seager writes with grace and style about her loves, her losses, and her joys. She also illustrates what being a woman in STEM is like and brings a strong voice to us all.
I was sad when I finished this book. I personally related to Sara's journey and this comforted me. The Smallest Lights in the Universe was a constant companion for my first two chemotherapy infusions. I will miss peering into the lovely world of Sara Seager. I am so glad I had the opportunity to read this book. It helped me not feel so alone.

A Beautiful Book!
Revisado: 09-14-20
I suffer from numerous debilitating chronic illnesses. My disabilities continue to challenge me in every way. I am forced to constantly change my approach and transmute my suffering into something useful, meaningful, and beautiful. Professor Hawking inspires and encourages me to keep moving forward.
I am so glad of this book. It brought me so much comfort to learn more about Stephen Hawking. What a wonderfully and warmly written memoir of such a beautiful relationship.
Professor Hawking died on the same day I had brain surgery. He will always be my greatest hero. His legacy continues to keep me looking up at the stars, even when it hurts the most. 🌟

Historia
When and how did the universe begin? Why are we here? What is the nature of reality? Is the apparent “grand design” of our universe evidence of a benevolent creator who set things in motion—or does science offer another explanation? In The Grand Design, Stephen Hawking and Leonard Mlodinow present the most illuminating scientific thinking about these and other abiding mysteries of the universe, in nontechnical language marked by brilliance and simplicity.

Historia
We know the universe had a beginning. With the Big Bang, it expanded from a state of unimaginable density to an all-encompassing cosmic fireball to a simmering fluid of matter and energy, laying down the seeds for everything from black holes to one rocky planet orbiting a star near the edge of a spiral galaxy that happened to develop life as we know it. But what happens to the universe at the end of the story? And what does it mean for us now?

I absolutely love this book. I can't get enough of anything related to these topics. Katie Mack's delightful sense of humor and wit surpass any other. I didn't want this book to...end! I look forward to sharing it with my colleagues, friends, and anyone who comes my way who wants to know more about it.

I loved every moment of this book. Evy's narrative skills are gracefully and powerfully executed. The information contained within these pages is vital and could save your life. I'm a survivor of attempted murder. I can't stress to you enough how important it is to be vigilant about your surroundings. I'm so glad that Evy covered the importance of being aware.
I found within these pages the courage I needed to continue forward, despite my challenging circumstances. Thank you Evy, you are a wonderful human being. I am sad this book is over. I am giving a copy to my mom for Mother's Day tomorrow. Keep fighting!
