A great addition to the series
Revisado: 03-17-18
I’ve read the entire series and thought that the story had some unique twists on the cliche zombie plague “viral outbreak” story that seems to be a part of every zombie story. I read this book after I had read all of the other books and had gotten to know the characters.
I’m seeing some very irritating reviews that are both womanizing to the author and homophobic towards this particular book. I just don’t understand people. Yes, the author is a woman, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that she wrote an incredible and unique series of zombie books. Which in my opinion has to be a hard thing to do in a genre that is full of them. She not only wrote a great story, but imagined some great characters that I was immediately attracted to. I’ve returned more zombie books than anything else because they’re all the same and it takes a great author and narrator to bring the story to life.
This was an awesome little extra that explained some of the characters backstories that we never really got to know. And yes, one of those stories was about a homosexual man (Theo) and his brother (Grey) who tried to save Theos (male) partner. I would guess that his partners role lasted all of 4-5 minutes in this book so to all of the homophobes who gave up on this amazing book because of a very brief story about Theo and the love of his life, it truly is your loss. If they were lesbians would you have felt the same? Anyhow. Please don’t listen to the womanizers and the homophobes. Listen to this book, it was and is a great addition to the series! Thank you Jessica Meigs for your amazing writing and Christian Rummel for bringing all of these characters to life and giving them the personalities that made this book so exciting to listen to.

I loved the entire series
Revisado: 09-21-17
I have listened to more audiobooks than I can count and have never left a review before so that should say something about how much I enjoyed this series. I'm sad that it's over. I don't know what the fuss was about with the changing of the narrator. I will admit that I did like the first narrator better in certain ways. She truly brought the characters to life and when they brought in a new narrator it changed the image of the characters that I had imagined in my mind. If that makes any sense. However after a few chapters I got used to the new narrator and realized that she was far more upbeat than the previous one. I hadn't realized until than how broody and melancholy the first narrator made the charters out to be. They were both great and it wasn't a big enough change that I couldn't stand to listen to it. It just took a few minutes to get used to. The story was great. I knocked off one star because I agree with another listener that there was more fluff and filler in this book than the previous ones and it wasn't necessary. I actually fast forwarded through some scenes. However, I also agree that this book brought in more of the other characters back stories and wasn't just about Feyre. It was a good mix and brought more depth to the series as a whole as well as got me attached to the characters making it an emotional roller coaster at times. All in all, this was a GREAT read and I would highly recommend this as well as the whole series.
*Quick note to the author...I almost didn't purchase the first book because the description made it sound so boring and didn't describe the book AT ALL. The only reason that I bought it was because of the great customer reviews. And boy am I glad I looked past the boring description and bought the book because they ended up being some of the best books that I've ever read/listened to.

Great Story
Revisado: 06-01-17
I don't know why everyone compares this books series to the Harry Potter books. Yes, it is set in a school for magic but that's the extent. It's very much it's own unique story and well worth the credit. I've read the first three books in the series and they're very entertaining. The only complaint is the narrator reads too quickly. I had to slow it down to 75, but the narrator does an amazing job at voices.

Great book!

This is my favorite of all of the caster chronicles so far. I wasn't a huge fan of beautiful darkness and feared that after that book the writing had gone down hill, but it turned out to be quite the opposite. Now it's on to the final book. I'm sad that it's almost over.
