Historia
Agatha Raisin, retired PR supremo, has been spurned at the alter by the man of her dreams - her attractive neighbor James Lacey. So temporarily deserting the sleepy Cotswold village of Carsely, she pursues her fleeing fiancé to north Cyprus where, instead of enjoying a romantic honeymoon, they witness the killing of an obnoxious tourist in a disco. Can the duo forget their differences and resume their strangely successful sleuthing partnership?

I’m obsessed
Revisado: 03-14-24
I’ve now listened to every book in the series, and plan to keep going. I didn’t love this one as much as the others, probably because it’s not set in the Cotswolds but it did not disappoint!

Easy breezy and delightful

A lovely listen, both unexpected and predictable at the same time. It’s a sweet story, well-narrated, and just delightful.

Historia
In 1968, a small, dilapidated American spy ship set out on a dangerous mission to pinpoint military radar stations along the coast of North Korea. Packed with advanced surveillance equipment and classified intelligence documents, the USS Pueblo was poorly armed and lacked backup by air or sea. Its crew, led by a charismatic, hard-drinking, ex-submarine officer named Pete Bucher, was made up mostly of untested sailors in their teens and twenties.

Fascinating book, well read
Revisado: 07-03-22
Fascinating book about a historical moment few of us know! Narrator was great and the book did a wonderful job covering the on-ship and back-in-DC experiences!

Historia
Marko Zorn, a Washington, DC, homicide detective with expensive tastes in art, classic cars, and women, must take on extra work to supplement his income. Although he's skilled at navigating the corridors of law enforcement and the hideouts of criminal gangs, he'd prefer to stay home and watch old movies, enjoy his art collection, and listen to cool jazz. When Zorn encounters the body of a Secret Service agent - a supposed drowning victim - it leads him to a domestic terrorist group with tentacles into the White House, a White House that does not want this death investigated.

A fantastic story and a great narrator!
Revisado: 01-01-21
This story is so well done, with really interesting characters and enough plot twists to keep you engaged from start to finish. I can’t wait till this to the next one! The narration is done really well: the characters are all unique and different enough, but none are over the top. So excited for my next Eskin/Jedlicka book!

Historia
Shots rang out in Savannah's grandest mansion in the misty, early morning hours of May 2, 1981. Was it murder or self-defense? For nearly a decade, the shooting and its aftermath reverberated throughout this hauntingly beautiful city of moss-hung oaks and shaded squares. John Berendt's sharply observed, suspenseful, and witty narrative flows like a thoroughly engrossing novel, and yet it is a work of nonfiction.

A must-listen for anyone intrigued by Savannah
Revisado: 12-26-19
A brilliantly-written story that brings in so many of the eccentric and fantastic people of Savannah, centered around Jim Williams. It’s well narrated in the audiobook — and a must-listen for anyone intrigued by Savannah. We listened on our road trip there: what a perfect way to prep for a visit!
