Historia
What’s the most pressure you’ve ever been under? How did you react? What helped? What didn’t? Over the past five years, Dane Jensen has asked these questions of thousands of high performers - from Olympic gold medalists to Navy SEALs, politicians, executives, and busy parents. What has emerged from these conversations is that while everyone’s experiences under pressure are unique, pressure follows patterns and develops in predictable ways. If we can recognize the patterns, we can improve our ability to sidestep the biological traps that can sabotage us....

Compelling content, told with a monotone delivery
Revisado: 07-26-22
If you can get past a very clean and professionally narrated delivery there is useful and compelling content within this book.
While not specific only to this title the use of professional narrators often results in a monotone or flat delivery void of any significant vocal inflections which the author would surely exhibit. Having heard this author speak on a podcast I know his voice range and imperfections in delivery would lead to a more authentic and compelling performance. Itis unfortunate that so many authors choose the route of using professional narrators which homogenized and make bland their content.

Most of us have heard of gluten - a protein found in wheat that causes widespread inflammation in the body. Americans spend billions of dollars on gluten-free diets in an effort to protect their health. But what if we’ve been missing the root of the problem? In The Plant Paradox, renowned cardiologist Dr. Steven Gundry reveals that gluten is just one variety of a common, and highly toxic, plant-based protein called lectin.

Compelling notion, short on hard science
Revisado: 07-13-22
I am not a doctor, scientist, researcher.
I do know and have both Western and Eastern medical doctors, and healers, i.e., acupuncturists within my orbit. The consensus is that while compelling, and hopeful there is one magic recipe for improved health the science I've come to read paints an incomplete and inconclusive portrait of the work within this book.
I have no doubt that there are people who have been cured by following this program however those successes should not be translated into a one-size-fits-all solution.

Narrator painful
Revisado: 01-25-22
Having hear Ms. Grant Halvorson on NPRs IdeaCast I was intrigued by her observations and presentation, she I thought had a calming and relaxed voice, and delivery. It was therefore a shock to listen to a flat, and painful narration of her work. I am going to try to get through the book for the content but the delivery is so distracting as to remove any enjoyment from the experience.

Mining for a few nuggets
Revisado: 01-17-22
the book succeeds in painting the portrait of numerous entrepreneurs their product or service company struggles challenges and ultimately their successes in creating new innovative and sought after products. where the book falls short from my perspective is in parsing each stories trajectory and through line to find precious few relevant nuggets of useful information.
the stories recounted are more personal journeys observations and firsthand accounts and while all compelling did not provide specific and tangible data or specific procedural steps and or recommendations that would be applicable for my specific startup interests and requirements.
On a personal note having been at broadcast.com after Mark Cuban sold it to Yahoo for over 3 billion dollars I was there to witness it's decline and ultimate separation of over 300 employees from the firm, this due to a lack of a scalable business model as deemed by Yahoo. This is not a bitter recounting but more a reality check that the success as painted in this book don't always reveal the full and complete story as it affects or affected employees.
As with all stories about personal journeys readers should take them with a grain of salt look for those few nuggets and toss back the dirt contained within the pan.

Useful but not the Ultimate Guide as Suggested
Revisado: 05-01-21
While I certainly gained some insight into the technology and various coin-based alternatives, I felt lacking in foundational information. Even as someone in technology, I did not gain a progressional sense of the current and possible future state of the underlying infrastructure. The story would have benefitted by different use cases.

The technology likely to have the greatest impact on the future of the world economy has arrived, and it's not self-driving cars, solar energy, or artificial intelligence. It's called the blockchain. The first generation of the digital revolution brought us the Internet of information. The second generation - powered by blockchain technology - is bringing us the Internet of value: a new, distributed platform that can help us reshape the world of business and transform the old order of human affairs for the better.

Futurescape ideation, short in fundementals
Revisado: 04-26-21
While very compelling as to future state ideas and opportunities and it did give me some useful ideas for applications, it falls to provide enough groundwork for most novices and relies too much on acronym as a form of description.
