Fabulous!

Plot intriguing and suspenseful! Voice performances superb. Loved the endless deductions and found the digitalis discussion very informative. Lots of surprises sling the way. Will purchase more of these audible books. Great ending.

Tense situations at times but a delightful love story. Depicts the terrible plight of many untrained immigrants to America who died just trying to survive the circumstances.

Historia
The 11 long short stories in Sewing Can Be Dangerous and Other Small Threads combine history, mystery, action, and/or romance, and range from drug trafficking using Guatemalan hand-woven wallets, to an Antebellum U. S. slave using codes in her quilts as a message system to freedom; from an ex-journalist and her Hopi Indian maid solving a cold case together involving Katchina spirits, to a couple hiding Christian passports in a comforter in Nazi Germany.

Thought provoking historical stories
Revisado: 05-07-20
This would have been a 5 star book had the author NOT taken the Lord’s name in vain with deplorable curse words several times. The stories are basically quite sad but have good endings. The book is actually a compilation of historically true situations depicted in fictional stories.

Multiple murders on the high seas
Revisado: 04-11-20
Great story with surprise killer. I love the audible book. I can crochet and craft while listening. Miss Myrtle is a hoot as the amateur sleuth. Miles is a great sidekick. I have enjoyed this whole series of books. The cruise ship mystery was a very different setting for Miss Myrtle’s sleuthing which made the investigation more difficult. Even she did not determine who the killer was until seconds before she was attacked.
