Any fan of Jane Yellowrock and Joanne Walker should read this one. the only problem with it is, it's not long enough. I hope the author's get together again.

Loved the cats

A departure from what I've read by Faith Hunter before, pure Sci-Fi based in a dystopian future. I was able to fall into her new world easily and loved the main character almost as much as I love her cats. Definitely worth listening to this short story, I will be keeping my eye out for these characters in future books.
I do wish that the Goodreads listing showed a more accurate page count, for a 5+ hour audiobook, it should be 190+ pages, not 5 pages.

Naomi and Ely are best friends. Naomi loves and is in love with Ely, and Ely loves Naomi, but prefers to be in love with boys. So they create their "No Kiss List" of people neither of them is allowed to kiss. And this works fine - until Bruce. Bruce is Naomi's boyfriend, so there's no reason to put him on the List. But Ely kissed Bruce even though he is boring. The result: a rift of universal proportions and the potential end of "Naomi and Ely: the institution." Can these best friends come back together again?

See The Bigger Picture

I love the cast for this book, they really brought it to life for me. This is my second listen and it feels as fresh and relevant to today's issues as it did the first time. Naomi and Ely are at different points in their understanding of life, the actions of the other characters help them find themselves and each other in the end. Loved this book.

The story is great, even the awkward narration can't take away from the d dark themes and character growth of the story. Definitely worth a credit. 🙂

While the reading level may be appropriate for gr. 6-8, I think the subject matter is better suited to an older child. Mia is now 15 and has a serious boyfriend. This leads to subjects that some parents may not wish thier children to read about at such young ages.
That said, this story is as wonderful to listen to as the others have been. I have enjoyed seeing the world through Mia's writing and found that the narrator did a great job bringing the characters to life.

A Great Book

I loved this new twist on a "working holiday." Nita and Kit get to go to the beach and relax. While there they have to find out the reason they were sent, after all the 'powers' don't waste energy. Dairine stays home plays host to the exchange-wizards, a motley crew who are the key to a successful visit. All kinds of fun and wizardry ensue. I loved getting to know Dairine better. The only bad part about this book is that it ends. I can't wait till Book 8 hits Audible!
