Enjoyed it. To me, not “THE” best of Bussi but a thrilling, intriguing and at times puzzling story. The performance was superb. Thank you

No need to comment on the book as everyone knows it is one of the pillars of classic litterature. The narrators were marvelous, each one had a different style and I love each one of them. Thank you so much!!! I would recommend, no hesitation!!!

Both the book and the narrator are absolutely stunning! I enjoyed everything about this masterpiece. Toward the end, I was wondering what to read/listen next after this wonderful experience. Would recommend without hesitation.

Another great detective Servas story! Bernard Minier & Hugues Martel is one of my favorite audiobook combinations. This book is strongly connected to the previous books in the amazing detective Servas series. It would make sense to read the series in the chronological order of publication if you are wandering. Recommended to any contemporary detective story fans !

Another excellent B. Minier book narrated by the excellent H. Martel. Recommended without doubt. One advise though, one should read B.Minier books in the chronological order. Each book can be read and may make sense also independently I guess but the reader would miss half the pleasure..

This is the 7th Minier book that is narrated by the amazing narator Hugues Martel that I have finished. The first one without detective Martin Servas and set outside of France. While the background to the crime story in the foreground is an area that I did not expect from B. Minier -Hong Kong, artificial intelligence.- this breathtaking book proves again how amazing, this Author is. Hugues Martel’s natural, full of talent naration is doubling the plaisure. I am a huge fan of both.
One slightly disturbing topic which has nothing to do with the book itself is the obvious mismatch between the original chapter numbering of the book and the chapters in the Audiobook application. While the chapter Audiobook shows is say 58 the narrator reads in the middle of such chapter “Chapter 39” for example. This was the case with all the audiobooks I listened including B. Minier books. I wonder why this is happening.
Anyway, I would recommend this book to anyone without hesitation.

I really enjoyed listenning this audiobook. It was mysterious and thrilling. The sound effects are somehow annoying and mostly not necessary but the performance of the narrators is perfect. It is obvious that a lot of effort and thought was invested to achieve a flowless narration. The music after each chapter is a bit weird but I thought that is made on purpose.
Despite the fact that the story uses real places and historical elements and personages, it is fiction, action, thriller and as many of such genre of stories are, at times it may not feel realistic; so it is a question of taste. Overall, I would definitely recommend this book.

I read many Fred Vargas books in the past and this one was the first audio book I listened. I enjoyed a lot this book, although I have to say this is not my favorite Adamsberg or Fred Vargas book.
The narrator is also great. I am not native french but didn’t struggle at all in understanding the book due to clear and very well articulated naration.
Looking forward to the next Vargas book!

I read The Death of Ivan Ilyich about 20 years ago, my early 20s. It is amazing to see how much more I enjoyed it. I heard once that one should read the classics 3 times when young, middle aged and old. I believe I see now what that means.
I am new at Audible and don’t know that many narrators but I will surely look for other books narrated by Simon Prebble. He is simply great, his voice, clear articulation and the soul he gives to this story was an splendid experience for me. In addition, as a non-native, I didn’t struggle once. 100% recommended.
