Historia
A therapist and self-help writer with all the answers, Sarah has just bought a gorgeous Victorian in the community of her dreams. Turns out you can get a killer deal on a house where someone was murdered. Plus, renovating Black Wood House makes for great blog content and a potent distraction from her failing marriage. Good thing nobody knows that her past is as tainted as the bloodstain on her bedroom floor.

Such an incredible book brought to life by undeniably amazing narration.
Heartbreaking, relatable and so wickedly funny, Fiona brings Sarah Slade to life in such a way that makes you see yourself in her.
This story will draw you in until the final page - and then some. Please listen right to the end for the Author's notes as they are some of the most beautiful words ever written/spoken.

Historia
Copenhagen author Hannah is the darling of the literary community and her novels have achieved massive critical acclaim. But nobody actually reads them, and frustrated by writer's block, Hannah has the feeling that she's doing something wrong. When she expresses her contempt for genre fiction, Hanna is publicly challenged to write a crime novel in 30 days. Scared that she will lose face, she accepts, and her editor sends her to Húsafjöður; a quiet, tight-knit village in Iceland, filled with colourful local characters - for inspiration.

I was absolutely blown away by this book.
Diana Croft lifts this already intriguing and thought-provoking plot to new heights. She breathes life into the main character, Hannah, with a perfect blend of sarcasm and self-pity. This book is a masterpiece of action and smoothly transitions from one scene to the next. Diana's characters evolve as the story unfolds and I am left hanging onto every word until the very poetic and sad ending.
Special kudos to her delivery and pronunciation of Icelandic phrases.
