Historia
Centuries ago, the followers of the new gods defeated the old gods and the folk of legend, banishing them from the world of man. With their departure, magic faded from the land. The Milesian Accords had provisions for a new challenge, though, and the Exiled Gods have sent their minions back to our world to seek out a champion to fight for them and a druid able to wield the magic needed to fulfill the challenge. A descendant of the druid who participated in the original challenge, Liam Knox doesn’t know anything about the Accords or his ancestors....

Unlikable Characters and Nonexistent Plot
Revisado: 11-03-23
I saw this book was free, so I gave it a shot, but I was unable to force myself to finish it. The world building was pretty good and interesting, so there's potential for the series to be good. The narrator also did a good job.
Unfortunately, the book itself has a few issues. The male protagonist is 39 years old but doesn't act like someone born in the 1980s. If I didn't know better, I'd think he grew up in the 1950s/60s. The kid is both very perceptive and not, depending on what will cause the most drama. The plot is almost non-existent, and the book seems to focus on the character's relationships with each other instead of pushing the actual story forward.

Historia
"No killing Goblins." So reads the sign outside of The Wandering Inn, a small building run by a young woman named Erin Solstice. She serves pasta with sausage, blue fruit juice, and dead acid flies on request. And she comes from another world. Ours. It's a bad day when Erin finds herself transported to a fantastical world and nearly gets eaten by a Dragon. She doesn't belong in a place where monster attacks are a fact of life, and where Humans are one species among many. But she must adapt to her new life. Or die.

Slice of Life set in a LitRPG World.
Revisado: 10-03-22
If you're looking for a power fantasy where the protagonist becomes overpowered this isn't for you. The protagonists are very average and flawed and annoying at times. But the real gems are the characters around them. The Innkeeper is very naive and comes across that she lived a safe sheltered life back on Earth and this shows. You will either like this book or won't.

Running and more Running
Revisado: 03-05-22
It had a decent start. The dialogue was good and the voice actor was great. But the book was 80% chase scenes. I got tired just from listening to all the chase scenes back to back. The ending didn't make much sense for their characters.

Has it's Highs and Lows
Revisado: 06-05-21
First of all I don't think I am the targeted demographic so keep that in mind. I tried this book at a friend's suggestion. I went into reading this with little to no expectations and no experience with the Author's other work.
The setting is interesting and the beginning is a bit of a info dump. I don't mind the info dump personally but I know it can turn others off of reading that book. The Voice Actor did a phenomenal job when reading this.
If I'm being honest I think when writing the first half of the book the author couldn't decide if this was gonna be normal book or fan fiction erotica. It has a excessive amount of parts that borderlines erotica. The author doesn't really know how to write how male characters think which isn't a deal breaker. And the excessive use of the word "male" and "female" was off putting and weird.
I was gonna drop the book at Chapter 4 but continued due to my friends suggestion to keep listening. It did get better but only somewhat until the last 8 hours where it became a fantastic book. I wish the first 70% of the book was like the last 30%.
