Easy listening, most of the time
Revisado: 11-14-19
I was gifted these books from the author with no requirements to leave a good review. This review is my own opinion and freely given.
First, these are easy listening and not really deep. The mysteries, though not so easy to solve, are not that complicated either. The stories flow well and I enjoy listening to them while I'm on the road driving or riding.
The narration is pretty good except when at the end of a narrative sentence and it ends in something like "David said" the narrator makes those two words sound like they are a sentence on their own. An example would be "It's a very nice day" David said. this would end up sounding like "It's a very nice day". David said. Notice where I placed the periods. To me, this is annoying. And, on that note, there are too many places where there are multiple sentences that end in so-and-so said.
But, that is my biggest complaint about these stories so, all in all, I like them.

Excellent

We listened to this on our road trip. It was very interesting and well presented. If you like fictionalized/personalized Bible stories you will enjoy this. I don't mean it is the Bible out of context, it is the story of people in the Bible as there personal, day to day lives may have been.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?
No
What about Cassandra Campbell’s performance did you like?
nice inflections but poor volume

Poor ending
Revisado: 07-02-16
Where does Good, Clean, Murder rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
The story itself was good right up until the end. It seemed like the author wanted to end the story and just did. Hated the ending. felt like a lot was missing and it left you hanging. Maybe it was the "leave them wanting more" theory.
Which character – as performed by Rebecca Roberts – was your favorite?
Jane
Who was the most memorable character of Good, Clean, Murder and why?
Jane

Well worth your time
Revisado: 02-23-15
Would you listen to The Yellow Sock: An Adoption Story again? Why?
I just finished listening to this book. Once again Angela Hunt produced a book that is excellent. All the characters were fully developed. You felt like you were there watching from the sidelines. I do not like to give a synopsis, that is available on the cover, I will give my honest opinion of the book. I highly recommend this book. Not only was the story captivating, the reading was well done also. The only thing that is a negative is that it ended way too soon. You will not be disappointed in this novel about a family dealing with adoption. Truly worth the time. This audio book was given to me in exchange for my honest review.

Ok story, but hard to listen to
Revisado: 11-10-14
Would you consider the audio edition of Magdalene to be better than the print version?
No, I haven't read the book, but it was hard to listen to this book. A written book would be easier to understand.
What other book might you compare Magdalene to and why?
None comes to mind.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
To make more distinction in the person who is speaking. Give each character some sort of identification.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The ending
Any additional comments?
The reader was hard to understand. She had a slight accent or something. Some words were hard to know. She lacked enthusiasm for the book, or so it felt.

Excellent
Revisado: 10-11-14
What made the experience of listening to Passing Strangers the most enjoyable?
The story was very captivating. It never lagged or was boring. The reader did a very good job and each character was fully portrayed.
What did you like best about this story?
The story was a Christian book, but not preachy. Each main character had a problem that was finally resolved. Only one main character was a Christian in the book, but it left you with hope for the others.
What about Lia Frederick’s performance did you like?
She was able to portray each person with a difference so you didn't feel like it was just being read to you. You felt like you could hear each person speak
If you could rename Passing Strangers, what would you call it?
Finding Friends
Any additional comments?
Highly recommend. My first book with audible. Made the whole experience worthwhile. Listened to the whole book in one sitting.
