If you could sum up The History of Ancient Egypt in three words, what would they be?

I purchased this Audible book online and listened to the rather extensive collection of lectures on the history of Egypt. The narrator, one Bob Brier treated the history of the first civilization of the world as so many white "so-called" scholars have before him, with humor, wonder and to a large part disbelief.
It should be duly noted that Briers lectures here are a series of "THEORIES" with absolutely no facts or supporting evidence. He reaches his conclusions by gathering a collection of clues from other historians and proceeds to form his opinions.

Even though Bob Brier, like so many western historians who have been paid by western special interest handsomely to present the history of the Egyptian dynasties in a light that would make their assessment of this magnificent ancient civilization and it's people, appear to be the GOSPEL, in order to maintain THEIR sense of superiority in world history, Brier has only managed to add to the confusion by penning what are nothing more than "OPINIONS" suppositions, and theories about the oasis on the NILE.

Brier's account of Egyptian history, her people, their color, it's architecture, and the priest of the Egyptian mystery schools library's takes jabs at the intelligence of these Egyptian's. He waxes almost sarcastically that the math the priest used to calculate the stars was not complex math. He states that the geometry used to position the pyramids in precise alignment with the constellations was simple arithmetic. How snobbish? For one who claims himself a professor of antiquities to disparage a technology and people from a civilization, whose secrets to this day are still not known by modern science is less than civilized.

The fact is, the Egyptians used a sequence of mathematical calculations created and employed by Egyptian priest in their design concepts thousands of years before the famous greek mathematician Pythagoras was even born. Pythagorus, the greek icon whom western scholars have titled the father of mathematics. Was taught at the Egyptian Mystery schools...So how could he be the father of modern mathematics? It should also be noted that Jesus the Christ when he went into Africa, was trained at the Egyptian Mystery Schools.

Brier lectures about the grand lodges of the Egyptian mystery schools. He muses about their libraries, and the scrolls that possessed the wisdom of the ancients in technology, science, languages, astrology, magic, medicine and the first systems of salvation. However, there is a tenor of doubt in his oration as to their authenticity and being the creations of a people of color...

Rather, he suggest, that Alexander the Great and Aristotle were the creators of these works. In fact, Aristotle was not allowed to enter Egypt until after a Persian conquest, and it was then that Aristotle was allowed to visit and then eventually become a student or "MORTAL" at the Egyptian mystery schools grand lodges.
But that dId not stop Bob Brier, who, as one who does not believe the accomplishments by these Egyptian people possible, proceeds to articulate the white / european view, that Alexander the Great and Aristotle contributions, brought forth the liberal arts as we know them today. When in fact the 10 cardinal virtues of the Egyptian msytery systems are "THE LIBERAL ARTS." Brier does this as one might suggest, "Tongue-in-cheek."

Do not be confused. These lectures are a series of conjectures more closely resembling lies then truths.

Egyptian religion was the predominant religion in the ancient world and would be so even up to the reign of Constantine, and it would remain so until the first council at Nycaea, when the romans and greeks gathered to banish it in Europe in 325 AD.

A political power move that usher in the dawn of Christianity and the Catholic church and the imitation of Christ as in the "POPE' as we know it today.....

Should you take time to listen to this lecture series, do so with a grain of salt. The author tries to piece together an idyllic quilt chronologically about the history of Egypt that satisfies european acceptance as to what they are willing to believe and that correlates to what other european "Theorist" have offered as facts to them in other text on the subject. Unfortunately, Brier offers no proof or fact, only a feigned and direct counterpoint to the teachings of Cheikh Anta Diop, in an effort to diminish and deny credibility to his life's work.

Where black history is concerned, the statements and accounts of european, american, or jewish professors on the subject of black history is about as credible as the Santa Clause fable...

None of what this narrator says is fact, and too his credit, throughout the lecture series, he does own up to the fact that these are his theories ONLY.
But still in a subliminal way, Brier would have the listener leave his lectures believing that the very incomplete explanations he offers on the history of Egypt during these lectures are in fact truths, when they are anything but.

Brier takes great pleasure at reducing the contributions of the Nubians in Egyptian history. He does state the NUBIANS ruled in Egypt for a brief period in the 25th dynasty, but beyond that offers no indepth examination of the epoch, and frankly, I don't think he intended to.

Brier also takes a back-hand swipe at today's "Pan-African" movement and it's scholars. His tone changed to anger seemingly when he attempted to address the question posed by many that "THE EGYPTIANS WERE BLACK?"

Brier contends that "No they were not" and that the Egytians were a people of middle eastern/Italian decent. Brier is of the belief that Egypt is not part of black africa as such, how could the Egyptians be? Even some of his own history students have called his lectures into question for lacking the presense of black people, their contributions, and for not acknowleging the presense of blacks in ancient history throughout Europe. The students were vexed as to why he is not teaching these things?
Certainly, there were no WHITES in Egypt or the surrounding middle-east!
Nor were there any Ashkenazi Jews present as they appear today.

Brier is jewish by religion so his preference for maintaining the illusion of his peoples light/white Egyptian presense makes it easier to weave their lineage or fables into the historic records.
Brier offers no other supporting bibliographic research by audio to direct the reader to his resources either. Maybe they exist in the written text of these lectures..

What Bob Brier does provide, whether on purpose or not, is a complete account of every European theft of the priceless Egyptian antiquities from those sites that were visited by curious but gold digging "Archaelogist"
Beginning with Napoleon, who was just one of what would be hundreds european plunderers who pillaged the sites at Saqqara, Giza, the Valley of the Kings and countless others, in the name of science. Pirates who took for their amusement and greed priceless artifacts - stolen, under the guise of higher learning for British, French, German and American museums.

The History of Egypt is worth a listen, but I suggest do so with additional historic knowledge from our trusted scholars at the ready. Please continue to research the works of Cheikh Anta Diop, John Henrike Clark, and George G.M. James who's gave their lives for the care, furtherance and clarification of the black races contributions to this entire world.

Just peace.

What was one of the most memorable moments of The History of Ancient Egypt?

The first theory...or guess. Disappointing.

What about Professor Bob Brier’s performance did you like?

His vaudevillian delivery...

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Gomer visits GREECE.

Any additional comments?

Find a more fair and balanced reference to ancient history, as opposed to one whose ancestors were never there....I'm just saying.
