Andrew Sachs’ narration is just right for Elliot’s classic tale of community, commitment, and compensation.

Helpful synopsis of major threads in American history with appropriate explorations of lesser known influences. Stoler emphasizes inquiry and perspective as helpful tools for rethinking what we think we know of our collective past.

Tender story told with whist fullness and eyes wide open love. Rich and thoughtful. If you have only seen the movie, you haven’t heard the whole story.

David Suchet’s gentle voice conveys a range of emotions, always communicating clearly. I have listened to this version multiple times - and notice something new each time. Great resource.

Self Centered woman talking about her perfect life

Author makes sure that you know that she is a gifted, affluent, well connected author who has lots of friends, a Great Lake house and devoted husband. She goes on lots of vacations, wine lunches and appointments with multiple mentors. Niequist spends lots of energy poetically describing her perfect life and her many talents, with a plea to feel sorry for her because she feels busy as she travels to speaking engagements. Occasional references to prayer and fewer to Jesus but her definition of grace, forgiveness and soul and the general tone of the book would be closer to New Age and mysticism than Biblical Christianity.
