Great Setting
Revisado: 03-29-22
This is a good solid cozy, with great narration. I loved the setting in a Holmes themed bookstore on Cape Cod. My only complaint was the MC had an ego that wouldn't quit, which got really irritating at times.

Alek Fitz is the lead reaper for Valkyrie Collections, an agency that gathers debts for the paranormal elements of the world. Bound into modern-day slavery by a contract he cannot break and sold by parents he never knew, Alek works alongside demons, spirits, witches, and even Death himself to collect on deals made with humanity. When Alek is forced to take a job from a local vampire hunting down a runaway thrall, he is immediately thrust into a world of blackmail and backstabbing, where the rules are nothing more than an inconvenience to ancient, supernatural predators.

Non stop action
Revisado: 03-07-22
I loved the first book in the series, and this one was every bit as good or better. Alec's conflicts gave the plot more depth, and Olivia and Eddie were great additions.

Enjoyable historical
Revisado: 03-05-22
My first Lennox story but definitely not the last. The story was a bit rambling, but it all came together in the end. The narration was perfect and really added to the story.

Loved it, listened to it in nearly one go. The story was great fun and, as usual, Luke Daniels made it even better.

Non-stop acrtion
Revisado: 02-08-22
I received this audiobook free for an honest review. I've purchased and read the first four books in the series and thoroughly enjoyed them. The on-going storyline is strongly inspired by Biblical tradition, but not overly so. Even as a non-Christian and history buff, I've enjoyed the books and found them informative. The main characters are pretty well rounded, there's enough humor to keep them from getting dry, and - as I said in the headline - the action is non-stop.

Historia
Maurice Leblanc, a writer of detective fiction during the same period as Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, created Arsene Lupin, a sort of French Robin Hood. An inventive genius, a master of disguise, and an accomplished actor, Lupin operates in the choice chateaux and salons. He scorns sham and with great disdain leaves his card in a baron's residence. The card reads, "Arsene Lupin, gentleman-burglar, will return when the furniture is genuine."

An Old Favorite Made Better
Revisado: 08-09-07
I had read and liked several of the Arsene Lupin stories, so I was happy to find it in audio form, but I never expected it to be so good. The narration was delightful, making this classic as fresh and lively as when it was written. A must-have for lovers of old-fashioned mystery and adventure stories.
