Tough to get through

This book has extremely heated and sexy love scenes, but the rest of the story is drug-out, flat and I found myself having a difficult time getting through it. The Narrator's voice doesn't seem to quite mesh with the story-line either. Her words are often spoken light-heartily, when much more intensity should be present.

If it wasn't for the steamy sex scenes, I'd have "put it down" after the first couple chapters.

I loved this book!

First off, unlike some audiobooks, the narrator was top-notch, with a lovely British accent that worked perfectly for the book. Secondly, the story was a little slow at first, but worth the work, because when the story crashes in, the characters are already well developed, which helps propel the story into greatness.

There are lots of twists and turns and complicated relationships which seem true-to-life. For anyone who loves stories which are sexy, but with deeper undertows that pull you into the storyline and characters, I highly recommend this one!

Very enjoyable storyline with a few twists and turns, and the character development was very well done. The love scenes were steamy and descriptive too. I recommend this one!

Great Story!

I thought this was a great book! Passionate and exciting from the get-go. The book would be taught in such classes as "How to please a woman 101" and "How to be a great man 1b".

I'll agree the narrator didn't do the best job at Bella's voice... somewhat flat and odd. However, his performance of Sam's voice, with his deep, husky southern drawl MORE than made up for it.. calming, animalistic, and very sexy!

Surprisingly Romantic

I loved this book! Characters were wonderfully built, storyline was well executed. The narrator did a great job also! The story is amazingly romantic, and all men should be forced to read it!

Great Characters!

This was my first Nora Roberts novel. I’m a sucker for a good romance, being a hopeless romantic myself, so thought I would give this a shot. I thought the spin of the tale was great, jumping right in from almost the first written word. The characters were wonderfully developed, interesting, and I found myself laughing in a few places. The passion between the two main characters was well captured also.

I have to say though, in contrast to the above points, that the whole story builds and builds to a near bubble-over, but then the pot is removed from the heat at the very end. A bit of a let-down, however, aside from that, I would recommend the book, as it was spellbinding up until the end.
