The narrator in this one was terrific! The book itself gets a little bogged down in the details of what’s happening rather than the emotion and thrills, but still has a bunch of tense, scary moments and satisfying character work

Fun Mystery with a Nice Twist

This was a fun, light listen with all three narrators doing a fantastic job! I would recommend grabbing a drink and sitting on the beach for this one.

Powerful Book

I wasn't expecting this book to hit me so hard! This is a powerful book that deals with a lot of sensitive topics with empathy and understanding. And the narration from Ms Fitzgerald is top-notch, deftly handling the voice of our young protaganist Jett as well as all the many other adult characters.

Definitely give this one a listen!

Another Fun Mystery!

This second book in the series expands on the world in a lot exciting new ways with a great mystery at the center. And another terrific narration performance from Candace Fitzgerald! I already have the next two books ready to go!

It’s Memento Meets a Fantasy Version of Blade Runner

This is a really fun, fantasy neo-noir. A lot of really great action that starts in chapter one and doesn’t let up. Tess is a terrific protagonist who I’m excited to see on more adventures. And Candace Fitzgerald gives a great performance, keeping even the most fantastical characters grounded in reality. Excited for the next book in the series!

I’ve Never Read a Book Like This Before

Interesting premise grounded with a lot of real world facts. You dip in and out of so many narratives it can sometimes feel like a fever dream. Not for the squeamish, but I wouldn’t describe it as gratuitous, any gore stems from real human emotion and willing participants who you end up having a better understanding of by the end of the novel. Terrific performance Ms. Lester, there’s a ton of characters to keep track of and they do a fantastic job of inhabiting all of them.

Exciting Thriller with Excellent Narration

Fake packs a lot of twist and turns in its brief runtime, but what makes it so enjoyable is it’s reliance on creating in-depth and engaging characters for the reader to get invested in.

The narration is FANTASTIC! All the characters (of which there were many) were distinct and engaging. The actress really made this a delight to listen to!
