Good story, cut the music
Revisado: 11-12-18
I enjoyed the story itself and the narrator did a good job. Unfortunately someone came up with the idea to throw some music in occasionally to add ambiance, I think. For me though I found it jarring. I would be really getting into the scene and then this doom and gloom background music would start and I would be pulled out. #urbanfantasy #vampires #zombies #tagsgiving #sweepstakes

Finally, the knight Sparhawk had come to possess Bhelliom, legendary jewel of magic that alone could save Queen Ehlana from the deadly poison that had felled her father. Sparhawk and Sephrenia, ageless instructor in Styric magics, made haste to free Ehlana from the crystalline cocoon that had preserved her life while they desperately sought a cure.

What did you like best about this story?
There are plenty of things to like about this story. The thing I love the most is the feel of Eddings stories. They feel warm, loving, and comforting. Stories and characters you can go back to regularly and enjoy like long time friends.

Historia
Ehlana, Queen of Elenia, had been poisoned. A deep enchantment sustained her life, but only while the Knights aiding it still lived - and, already, they were dying, one each month. Then Sparhawk, the knight and Queen's Champion, learned that the cure for the poison was Bhelliom, the great jewel lost when Sarak of Thalesia died in battle 500 years before.

Love the book, narrator not so much.
Revisado: 06-29-12
Would you consider the audio edition of The Ruby Knight to be better than the print version?
No. The narrator does a poor job with establishing the different voices for the different characters. Further he does a horrible job with Flute's voice, horrible!

Books and story is great, the narrator not so much
Revisado: 06-29-12
Would you consider the audio edition of The Diamond Throne to be better than the print version?
No, I would not consider the audio edition of The Diamond Throne to be better than than the print. The narrator does fine for the most part with the male characters, he does not do so well with the female characters. He very much sounds like a man trying to pretend female voice.
What do you think the narrator could have done better?
Oh, yes. I think he should not have tried so hard with the female voices.
