He's a professional hockey player that lives on the edge. I prefer to play life by the rules. I'm the personal assistant at a sports agency that no one notices. I don't like sports, and I like professional athletes even less. I'm indifferent to the mostly male clientele, except for one. Mica "the savage" Petrov. When it comes to wild antics, Mica is the biggest offender of them all. He's reckless, wild, and carelessly charming. I'm mortified that I find him attractive. But it doesn't matter because the guy hasn't taken a second look at me. Not once. In two years.

I'm loving this series. My only complaint is what the narrator does with female voices. A little less nasal please! Book was full of action and twists. Loved it. My favorite one of the series so far.

Almost as good as the movie

This is such a great story. I saw the movie first (several times because I liked it so much). The characters in the story are fantastic, the writing done very well. My favorite line from the movie was not in the book... it was different enough to be a "very similar" to the movie, just not quite as life changing. This book did have me laughing and crying. A very good read!! If you love this story you must see the movie as well.

I couldn’t stop listening. I loved the characters and am going to look for more by this author. This was a great book that kept me wondering “who dunnit” until the last couple of chapters.
If I had one wish it would be for an epilogue or something that doesn’t just end at the end of the mystery. Where does the story take them next? I guess that’s what makes it so good. It leaves you wanting more.

Good characters and performance

I liked the book as a whole, but so very many things bothered me. I spent most of the book thinking what a presumptuous jerk the main male character was, while wondering why Evangeline took it. Then I wondered where her backbone was and why her wants and wishes were never discussed. Do not want to do a spoiler... but at the end, why don’t we know what happened to the Marina and her old friends and life? Love is not the only answer, compromise and caring what are the wants of both characters is necessary. I found myself wishing for more of a backbone from Evangeline and more information then happily ever after with kids.

As the final book in the Apache series, this book did not disappoint. In my opinion, the Colton family may be a little too close, but their stories are very entertaining. I enjoyed this entire series of books and I had a hard time stopping to do other things. For anyone that likes Native American romances these stories are very good with just the right amount of steamy. Enjoy!!
