Too many blurred lines, not enough talking to understand they are not talking to the same person they thought they were. I didn't finish to find out if they figure that part out. Dylan's got that little back bone to ask why are you talking like we've discussed this before, as a person who didn't do kink to just say well ok I'm into this like its nothing feels gross.

For Arlo to think he knows everything no matter what is going on around him was so frustrating because he truly did not. It was your kings ancestors that caused the world to be what it is but here you are acting like you are better than the original victim.

Generally angst will keep me away and this story has me in tears many a time. It made up for it though, through all they lived they also loved and that made it all the better. It smells of candy and pine or epic and awesome.

I followed the hype and I'm glad I did. The sarcasm and banter spoke to me on a personal level and to see them open up to each other hit a soft spot. Now I wait for another day and can watch the movie!!

I was unable to finish this book, actually the 1st story. Having two gay kids in one household isn't far fetched so that wasn't an issue but to have a 'romantic' relationship develop between the lover and the little brother is not for me. Also I know the age gap is only 7ish years but when the younger one is 19 and has had ZERO experience feels kind of gross. Also after you've told them gays are NOT monogamous and that the fairytale of love isn't real but he is the one for you and you don't need to be safe together. No. Hard no.

Andre Gibson is a fantastic narrator, Mark Sanderlin's voice was not my favorite. The story was nice but felt drawn out.

Don't get the hate

I've now heard all the books and though I loved Tor's voice for Ilya Cooper North is still a great narrator. This story has very different vibes and that's probably because it's been 2 or so years since we've seen the world from their point of view. Alot can change in that much time. To see that people think Ilya was emasculated because there was so much focus on his mental health just shows you people suck. I felt the emotions this story tried to invoke and appreciate where Ilya and Shane are now. Happy in their new lives and no longer having to hide.

Funny but heartfelt

Malcolm reminded me of Lance especially with the 1 person POV but Malcolm felt much more unseen by the world and lonely. It was another great story. Hope to hear more from Spruce.
