This IS a cup of tea, warm hug and reality check
Revisado: 09-13-24
Being Very Late to the party of A.D.H.D. (Diagnosed at 62) I have been seriously lost on how to even begin piecing together what and how this diagnosis fits into past/present and future behaviors and traumas surrounding it.
Found these two GOD/ESS SENT on Instagram and from their found their book "Dirty Laundry" . I recommend you start with that book if you have not read it yet.
Onto this book "Small talk". For me, it felt like they had peered into my soul and found the most vulnerable areas that needed addressing.
With this book I discovered the why I did what I did in my dysfunctional childhood that my undiagnosed ADHD brain was not capable of doing. Also discussing why I choose to emulate others behaviors to people please and also why I tried to jump out of a window at a very young age due to the whole hopelessness of it all.
For me, to have these two books , their helpful app and their Instagram page has provided a wonderful connection to people who "get it" and want to share their experiencesto help others. I have also learned that even though I am different and can never be what my birth family wanted me to be that it really wasn't something I could fix by just acting like them. Because my brain never and will never work like theirs and that is OK. 💙🖤 Thank you Rox and Rich! love you both!!!

Truth!
Revisado: 08-03-22
GREAT Testament on her life traumas and how she pulled herself back and what is working for her to become and maintain her "best caroline".
I also loved her honesty and her honesty with boundaries. Because we as survivors are so much more then the violations that happened to our bodies, minds and spirits.
Thank you for writing/sharing your truth!
