The Meaty Truth is an eye-opening look at the massive problems caused by the American population's food supply. Water, meat, and milk and other dairy products are filled with toxins, antibiotics, untested growth hormones, ammonia, and animal pus and manure. The current conditions of the food production industry must drastically improve, and until they do, it is absolutely vital to monitor what you eat.

I don't know of any other books that I would compare The Meaty Truth to, but I would compare it to the documentary, Food Inc.

Hannah Johnston did a excellent job reading this book with emphasis in all the right areas.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
We drink soy now... non-GMO soy... and the book was listened to by my kids in a car with me on a vacation, and now they call all milk, puss and rocket fuel! So it has helped the kids transition to a healthier alternative.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes, I would recommend this book to a friend, I wish I could buy a copy for every teacher at my kids' school and have them read it. I think that a lot of this book is about thing that we are all aware of, things that happen, yet haven't quite put words to it. Also, the way we treat some kids and not others, something I believe came on us slowly, and not really consciously intended. He brings it to the surface.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Our Kids?
All the personal stories of the parents and the kids.
Which character – as performed by Arthur Morey – was your favorite?
Arthur Morey was an excellent pick for this book. There are a lot of statistics in this book, yet when he read them it was easy to keep up.
