the story is so endearing!
Revisado: 03-04-25
I've been searching for a book like this- one that makes me laugh, cry, feel the heart ache right along with the characters. I want Addie and Henry to both find peace in the lives they've chosen. I was gripped by the story from the first word all the way through the last. loved it!

heart-felt story
Revisado: 04-09-24
I love the idea of the mutli-verse, and I think this book does it well. The subtle difference in each character's arch was well fleshed out, and I didn't feel like anything was lacking.
I did minus one star because all of the guys' voices sounded the same. It was hard to keep track of who was whom.

NARM is a somatically based psychotherapy that helps bring into awareness the parts of self that are disorganized and dysfunctional.

great information
Revisado: 05-21-22
It reads as more of a textbook, but the author does note in the beginning that it was originally written for students taking psychology. It was easy to comprehend, and I thought the case studies included were fascinating.

This book was recommended to me by my therapist. It easily breaks down what control actually is and the ways in which the controlled can break the cycle.

I appreciate Shirley Jackson's work as it pertains to the canon of both horror and feminism. I do find some of the dialogue forced, but overall, I genuinely liked the book.

great
Revisado: 02-12-19
I loved that it was narrated by Michelle Obama. she addresses a lot of her early years up through the end of her husband's presidency. I loved that she addressed some of the rumors surrounding her family and they're role in modern day current politics. I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone, but especially those who want a witty, intelligent journey through Michelle's life.

Historia
For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.

Not a Self Help bookie
Revisado: 11-27-18
I tend to turn and run as far away from self help books. The humor and wit of this book is well worth the read. The icing on the cake is the little bit of self help it provides. the stories are relevant. 10/10 would recommend.
