Worst narration ever!
Revisado: 07-25-23
I have a long commute, so I've listened to hundreds of books in the last 3 years. This book was the absolute worst. To be fair, it was probably the narration. The male and female were equally awful. I got up to chapter 31 and I just couldn't do it. First time I've done that. Save your credit or read it yourself. The story wasn't great, but I did want to know what happened, but the narration was that bad.

Silly Story. Very good narration.

Not a lot of substance, and an extremely light read. The narrator and the humor in this audio book is what propelled me to finish it.

Returning early from a disastrous date night with my husband, I know something is wrong the moment the wheels crunch the gravel drive of our home. Inside, the TV is on and a half-eaten meal waits on the table. My heart stops when I find our little girl is alone in the house and our babysitter, Sasha, is missing....

Historia
Sam Hill always saw the world through different eyes. Born with red pupils, he was called “Devil Boy” or Sam “Hell” by his classmates; “God’s will” is what his mother called his ocular albinism. Her words were of little comfort, but Sam persevered. Sam believed it was God who sent Ernie Cantwell, the only African American kid in his class, to be the friend he so desperately needed. And that it was God’s idea for Mickie Kennedy to storm into Our Lady of Mercy like a tornado, uprooting every rule Sam had been taught about boys and girls. Forty years later, Sam, a small-town eye doctor, is no longer certain anything was by design.

Terrible Narrator, mediocre book.
Revisado: 02-12-19
The story's climax was a bit disappointing; the description of the book misleading and the narrator was horrible. I almost didn't finish the book because the narration was so bad. Skip this one.
