Historia
"The key to losing weight is not about enjoying less," teaches Jena la Flamme. "It's about enjoying more." This revolutionary insight has allowed thousands of Jena's students to lose weight without boring food plans, arduous rules, or punishing exercise. Why does it work? Because pleasure is the secret to switching off the stress triggers that are the real culprit behind emotional eating and weight gain.

the only "weight loss" book you will ever need
Revisado: 08-20-15
If you could sum up Pleasurable Weight Loss in three words, what would they be?
your pleasure is important. it is the only reason to be alive. we have been taught to repress it for long enough. this book helped a lot. it has been the missing link in initiating all my knowledge of health that i know but have not applied.
What other book might you compare Pleasurable Weight Loss to and why?
i read woman food and desire from alexandra jamieson prior and it was a very good lead into this book. especially since this book referenced it!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
the insights on what my cravings could be were eye opening. the idea that my weight gain is not a punishment for living unhealthy but only a call to help from my body to me. to enjoy my life more and be an authentic me.

Historia
Most of us realize that fashion is more than just clothes. It's not just about wearing what's in. Fashion influences our judgments of people's taste, politics, sexuality, class, religion, and even their moral character. It can be a medium for technological and social change – changes in fashion may signal economic and political shifts. Yet fashion can also trap us. We can be slaves to fashion if we feel trapped by the roles dictated by the clothes we wear, and we can be slaves to fashion, literally

Is there anything you would change about this book?
I was not pulled in by the narrator and spent weeks to get through this short audiobook due to being annoyed with the narration.
What was most disappointing about the authors’s story?
The way they have basically essays but just flow into each without too much as a notice that this isn't a story from the same person you were just learnining about
Would you be willing to try another one of Tracey Farrar’s performances?
no
Did Fashion - Philosophy for Everyone inspire you to do anything?
It inspired me to look more into the topic, through other narrators.
