I was 11 years old when Susan was murdered over that 1969 Memorial Day weekend. I had come back from a camping trip with my family only to see the Davis home (our backyards butted up against each other) lite up most of that following week with police cars filling the street that they lived on. I had know Susan from the time i was six and played with her younger sister Lynn growing up. She was a sweet and beautiful girl who made a lasting impression on a young boy, I kinda had a crush on her. As the case was never solved and people moved on with their lives, I often wondered over the years whatever might have happened that day on the Garden State Parkway.

The author's interest in this case seemed to mimic mine. He's written not only a great book but provides an expansive and detailed background of all the individuals and possible scenarios of what might have happened. I learn more about the case than I ever imagined as he guided me through the web of a crime from over 50 years ago that still is fresh in the minds of Ocean City, NJ residents. Highly recommended.
