Historia
From Forluin, green, half-fabled land of beauty and peace, has journeyed the gentle Estarinel, bearing tragic news. From the terrible Empire of Gorethria rides Ashurek; a lean and deadly warrior, once High Commander of its Armies, scourge of the Earth, hated and feared across continents. The third is known only as Medrian. Coldly wrapped in her cloak of sorrow, her eyes deep-shadowed with suffering long-endured, she will explain nothing of her reasons.

Really quite good. Alex Wyndam is amongst my favorite narrators, which is how I stumbled upon this series.

Great Series
Revisado: 09-01-24
I own over 300+ titles, nearly all fantasy. It is thus incredibly difficult to find new, quality material to listen to. This series is a hidden gem. Best new series of the year for me. Top 50 or so overall.

Great Underrated Series
Revisado: 04-25-24
So underrated, really an awesome series and one of my favorite narrators. I own 300+ titles in the genre and this series is definitely top 25-35 overall, top 2-3 for female authors. Rachael, get your covers redesigned and market your shit.

Historia
Gladiator. Assassin. Thief. Princess. And the slave. The five warrior angels have been revealed; one by one, the mystical weapons they once wielded are being found, and an ancient prophecy is finally being fulfilled. Or is it? For when it comes to recorded history, much is intended to manipulate and deceive.

On par with the greatest
Revisado: 04-25-24
Most underrated author and epic fantasy series in existence. Literally, if I could create a list of the most underrated this would hold the #1 spot, and I own over 300 titles in the genre. This stuff is gold.

Historia
Centuries ago, the murder of a beloved king tore apart the Kingdom of Caledun. The land was plunged into chaos and thousands perished. A new order was established in an attempt to return Caledun to its former glory. It failed, but in its place rose the beginnings of the Code. During this same period, the mystical caretakers of the Great Wood retreated from the world of Kal Maran, their disappearance an ominous harbinger of the suffering that was to follow. The Great Wood now grows out of control. Cities, towns, and villages have fallen before the relentless march of the forest.

Quite Impressed
Revisado: 07-27-20
I have over 150 titles in this genre - essentially, I've read everything out there. I've never left a review before, but in this case feel obligated due to the fact that the book clearly does not have that much exposure, at least on audible, yet I'd rank it somewhere in the top 15%. That's pretty dang good by my estimates.
If your search for a new epic fantasy feels like an exercise in futility, as mine so often does and has for quite some time, I believe you'll be thoroughly pleased with this one.
Excited to start book two, keep them coming.
