Great narrator, and the story was a lot more focused than in the first book. Rather than feeling like a bunch of strung together episodes, the narrative held throughout the whole book.

Decent story, great narrator

Largely a basic heist story within the setting of the moon base Artemis. Great main character, but thebside characters are a bit flimsy. A fun book if you like heists.

Good narrator, mediocre book

Struggled a bit to finish this one. If it had been much longer, I probably would have quit. There are some interesting world building bits and a few points of intrigue, but the POV of the main character is inconsistent and the foreshadowing is ham-fisted. The book hops back and forth between an epic narrative about an assassin fighting for her freedom in a classic tournament of champions and an unexpected romance. The back-and-forth of these competing story lines is constant, and detracts from the story rather than enhancing it. I will not be reading the rest of the series.

Let Down Sequel

This did not feel like a Michael Creighton work at all. The science was less convincing, and the ending was just a massive sequence of far-flung plot devices that read like the script to an action movie.

Completely worthless abridging

The performance is fine, but the book is so badly chopped up that nothing makes sense at all. There are MASSIVE gaps, and absolutely no coherence between chapters.

Great book, but weird narration

Robert Jordan's writing is superb. He uses a poetically descriptive voice that seems rare amongst other fantasy writers. However, the narration was off. At some points, it actively took away from the pace and content of the story. Perhaps I have been spoiled by Taylor Anderson, but the narrators for this book were only okay at best.

Simply amazing

This one was truly the best in the series yet. Cant wait for the next one. William Dufris is the best narrator around.

Just Okay

Much of the book is dedicated to the history of economic thought which was a bit dry. Additionally, the self-stated reason for publishing the book was to spark thought about how we value things. This is all well and good, but it was an awfully long-winded way to say that GDP and market price are poor indicators of value created. Overall, the ideas are good, the writing is okay, but the book is just repeated ramblings.

Easily the best one so far.

The story is engaging and interesting nthe whole way through with no lags like in some of the previous books. By the time you get to the end, you will be hungry for more.
