Pretty good listen. Little unrealistic on timing and how long they were looking for her and able to stay in the woods, but overall, I really enjoyed it.

Historia
Set in the mountains of southern Appalachia, Demon Copperhead is the story of a boy born to a teenaged single mother in a single-wide trailer, with no assets beyond his dead father’s good looks and copper-colored hair, a caustic wit, and a fierce talent for survival. Relayed in his own unsparing voice, Demon braves the modern perils of foster care, child labor, derelict schools, athletic success, addiction, disastrous loves, and crushing losses.

Very Good Read
Revisado: 02-23-22
This was a very good read and was very entertaining as well as interesting. Some of the Vietnam stories that were shared are similar to what i have heard from my Father so i can tell the author did some solid research.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Good Listen
Revisado: 02-12-22
The narration was great. Very interesting read, and if you like any aspect of science, you should read. It's not too hard to comprehend it all. I never got lost in the story and was able to follow with all the science doalogue. I do wish that it would have gone a bit farther in the end. You will understand that comment once you read it.

Historia
The West's own governments are giving up, have already lost, or are leading the charge to something else. This doesn't sit well with those who believe in liberty. This is the story of a people who have lost the political fight, they've lost the culture wars, they haven't seen a level playing field in a generation, and they are about to be made serfs. None of that matters. They're leaving....

Historia
For decades, American administrations have forced our military to be neutered in many respects - hampered by restrained rules of engagement, passed in strength by Russia and China, and tested by rogue nations like North Korea and Iran. As a result, nuclear Armageddon hangs over us like a mighty sword. Military analysts agree that the United States can't start World War III. Why? We might lose. Sabers are rattling, and the war of words escalate between America and her enemies....

many books in the series
Revisado: 01-16-19
i think that Bobby could combine a book or two rather than spread this out in so many short books. Good book and i did stay entertained, however not sure its worth keep using all these credits to finish the series. We'll see what else i find, but i'll probably use one more to see if i go on if its a 5 star.

Historia
1944. Physics professor Alfred Mendel and his family were trying to flee Paris when they were caught and forced onto a train, along with thousands of other Jewish families. At the other end of the long, torturous train ride, Alfred is separated from his family and sent to the men’s camp, where all of his belongings are tossed on a roaring fire. His books, his papers, his life’s work. The Nazis have no idea what they have just destroyed. And without that physical record, Alfred is one of only two people in the world with his particular knowledge. Knowledge that could start a war, or end it.

Historia
Pilgrimage is a stand-alone post-apocalyptic story of survival. It was previously published as three separate novellas: Crossing, Refuge, and Advent. High School teacher James Rockwell is vacationing in Maine with his family, when an earth-changing explosion sends them on a race for their lives. Their first step is escaping an island in the midst of a tsunami, and it only gets more dangerous from there. Can they find their way home as civilization crumbles around them? And if they do, what horrors will they find?

It was ok
Revisado: 10-18-18
I agree with several reviewers, things went downhill too fast. We know that because the author kept reminding us the day and time for each short chapter. After what the wife experienced (minutes after the EMP) and still acted like she did, it was pretty frustrating. To leave a place, more like a compound that you could defend, have provisions, for your house closer to an urban area like Baltimore, with no other apparent ties.....Probably not the most logical move.

Historia
For a brief period after the world changed forever, the self-reliant community of Trout Run Valley managed to avoid conflict. They practiced subsistence, and found safety and security within their numbers. As the post-apocalyptic timeline moved forward, it began to spiral downward. Takers had made their presence known, and their malevolent intentions clear, transforming the once benign community into a violent battleground.

Pretty entertaining
Revisado: 02-08-18
What made the experience of listening to This We Will Defend: The Continuing Story of a Family's Survival the most enjoyable?
there are a few twists throughout the book.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Lauren, like how we follow how she became who she is.
Have you listened to any of Kevin Pierce’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Just the first tow in the series. Both equally enjoyable.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
not particularly.. I do like the overall message the book conveys.
Any additional comments?
I see book 3 is out. Sometimes i wish they could combine a few books. I will have a hard time buying more than 3 books in a series. I usually find it time to move on to the next one.
