Historia
After the old gods warred and drove themselves to extinction, the cataclysm of their fall shattered the land of Vigrio. Now, power-hungry jarls carve out petty kingdoms, and monsters stalk the shadow-haunted woods and mountains. A world where the bones of the dead gods still hold great power, promising fame, and fortune for those brave - or desperate - enough to seek them out. As whispers of war echo over the plains and across the fjords, fate follows the footsteps of three people. All three will shape the fate of the world, as it once more teeters on the edge of chaos.

just didnt enjoy it
Revisado: 09-28-22
Great writing, great world building, characters feel right for the book, and the narrator is a good fit. jumps around too much. nobody is likable. it is a low magic world with far too many equivalent warriors. just not enjoyable and can go without ever reading another of the like.

Historia
Roman was never supposed to escape the locked plane that was his prison. And yet, somehow the impossible task became possible with the help of new friends, and despite the tricks of old enemies. Too intrepid was the demon driven by the fury of battle, the sorrow of defeat, the bonds of unbreakable friendship, and the longing for his beloved. But when gods themselves join the fray, the chances of victory fall from slim to none.

started good but tiresome
Revisado: 09-13-22
MC is unlikable. drinks and smokes constantly while spouting immature lines at his wife and dealing out high school humor like it's cool. the rest of the characters do similar. the world building is well done and we'll thought out. the game guides the plot as a video game would. decisions of the MC are like a 15 year old boy. aleron Kong does this better in everyway. bought the whole series so sticking with it. is good not great.

Mike and Kelly were sent to bring reinforcements from the park, but they're walking into a meatgrinder, one that will strip the life from them, then raise them to besiege those they love. Matt has only one chance...lead the refugees, forge them anew into a force that can face the undead, in their tens of thousands.

not interested in getting preached to over societal views. the MC is a tyrant who believes he is a social justice warrior. the females a overall man haters. the humor is teenage boy locker room humor.
Great world and mechanics. doesn't hold a candle to dungeon crawler carl.

Historia
Matt survived the Dungeon's founding, and managed to gather a small, but dedicated team to him, but when he finds his is not the only Dungeon in the area, he has a choice to make. Attempt friendly co-existence, but lose the element of surprise, or attack, and risk it all? Matt has learned the consequences of being too trusting when the world collapses around you, but is the path of grim dictator any better? Can he trust those around him? When those he left behind seem to be abusing his gift?

characters took a turn for the worst
Revisado: 09-11-22
MC is always like I'm not that sorta guy before doing exactly what he says he doesn't do. he's kinda dumb and weak on things... the ladies all want to be super sexual while claiming to be in fear of attack. good overall plot. characters are going weak and self righteous. wouldn't want these guys running things if I was in an apocolypse.

Historia
After the chaotic events of the night of the witches’ moon in the north, the witch Fresh and her friends are forced to escape from the fervently zealous and corrupt city with the Holy-Church nipping at their heels. They make their way through the great wild-lands, moving towards the distant western city, the city in the mountain, high in the peaks—one of the world’s last remaining natural high-magic zones.

like wandering inn but not as good
Revisado: 09-05-22
the characters in this closely mirror the wandering inn. not sure which came first but wandering inn did it better.
not sure what the deal is with labels on audible. it would be nice if an author is getting political with self identification then a novel should start labeling as what it is. have some conviction.
anyhow good not great. the plot is great. personalities okay. pacing is a real slow burn.
