Historia
Nora Holliday is not that kind of woman. Not the kind who has an illicit affair with a married man. But Josh Landon is everything Nora’s alcoholic husband isn’t. And now she and Josh are so infatuated, they can’t stay away from one another. Abby Landon, Josh’s daughter, is home from college nursing a broken heart. She’s seeking solace, not more scandal, so when she catches her dad kissing Nora, she vows to take the homewrecker down.

Horrible
Revisado: 12-02-19
This may be the worst book I’ve ever heard! Reader was just atrocious! Her voice for Carter was like a drugged surfer dude!

Historia
Sylvie Snow knows the pressures of expectations: a woman is supposed to work hard, but never be tired; age gracefully, but always be beautiful; fix the family problems, but always be carefree. Sylvie does the grocery shopping, the laundry, the scheduling, the schlepping, and the PTA-ing, while planning her son’s Bar Mitzvah and cheerfully tending her husband, Paul, who’s been lying on the sofa with a broken ankle.

good story
Revisado: 10-01-19
I really liked this book. I could listen to Susan Bennett read the phonebook! Maxwell Glick however is seriously horrible to listen to.....I feel like I'm listening to a cartoon character!

Historia
The number-one New York Times best-selling author of Small Great Things returns with a powerful and provocative new novel about ordinary lives that intersect during a heart-stopping crisis. The warm fall day starts like any other at the Center - a women’s reproductive health services clinic. Then, in late morning, a desperate and distraught gunman bursts in and opens fire, taking all inside hostage. After rushing to the scene, Hugh McElroy, a police hostage negotiator, sets up a perimeter. Then he finds out that his 15-year-old daughter, Wren, is inside the clinic.

Worst book yet
Revisado: 10-13-18
I love Jodi Picoult books. I wait each year for the new release. This book was by far my least favorite book by her. The reader made the book even worse. Her voices were all wrong for the characters, her ethnicity is wrong for the book, and she did not pause between points of view so we never know when it changed from one character to another’s. If I had not also had a copy of the book to look at i would have no idea what was going on. Don’t listen to this one and I’m not recommending reading it either.

Historia
When Angela met Jason Powell while catering a dinner party in East Hampton, she assumed their romance would be a short-lived fling, like so many relationships between locals and summer visitors. To her surprise, Jason, a brilliant economics professor at NYU, had other plans, and they married the following summer. For Angela, the marriage turned out to be a chance to reboot her life. She and her son were finally able to move out of her mother's home to Manhattan, where no one knew about her tragic past.

This Narrator makes everyone sound like they are so 'put out'. I really did not enjoy listening to her.
