Historia
Debauched, divorced, and courting death, Billy Ray Schafer is a comedian who has forgotten how to laugh. Over the course of seven spun-out days across the American Southwest, he travels from from hell gig to hell gig in search of a reason to keep living in this bleak and violent glimpse into the psyche of a thoroughly ruined man. Ex-inmate, ex-husband, ex-father - comedian is the only title Schafer has left. Trapped in the wreckage of his wasted career, Billy Ray knows the answer to the question: What happens when the opportunity doesn't come - or worse - it comes and goes?

Tragedy + Timing = Running the Light
Revisado: 04-09-25
This book was deeply philosophical and introspective, wasting little time delving deeply into the cynicism of a man time forgot, who’s haunted by his past fame and enraptured in slow chemical suicide as he clings on to the little life he has left. Sam Talent, you supposed to be a funny guy, why this book so profound, serious and only a little funny? Next time, make me laugh funny man Sam, not cry. Thanks.

Historia
Mal wins an old map in a card game. Ancient and written in impenetrable symbols, the former owner insists it's worthless. Yet River Tam can read it, and says it leads to one of the Arks - legendary ships that brought humans from Earth-that-was to the 'Verse. The salvage potential alone is staggering. But the closer they get to the ancient ship, the more agitated River becomes.

Mostly just annoyed by the writing mechanics. It doesn’t make for excellent reading aloud. A bit burned out on the reader as well. Good voice but wouldn’t mind a different speaker sometime.

Historia
In this wry take on the post-apocalyptic horror novel, a pandemic has devastated the planet. The plague has sorted humanity into two types: the uninfected and the infected, the living and the living dead. Now the plague is receding, and Americans are busy rebuilding civilization under orders from the provisional government based in Buffalo. Their top mission: the resettlement of Manhattan.

Zombies and Dystopia
Revisado: 04-06-20
Whitehead argues for the sake of averages in a world of individuals always attempting to better each other. His character, known as Mark Spits, is the ultimate average, almost fatefully so. He is thrust into a world based on survival--navigating the wildlands, relying on his intuition and craft to survive encounters with zombies, bandits, and small groups of other survivors. He swaps "last night" stories about the moment things went tits up for himself or others. Mark Spits is cynical, doubting the ability of humanity to ever normalize in light of the plague that's reanimated the dead, even while the American Phoenix--a rebranded US Government attempts to exert control of what Spits has deemed a lost cause in the utopian image; Manhattan. Spits will explore humanity as he and his team of "sweepers" patrols Zone 1, uncovering the environmental stories of the last night between the inequities of the past and the ramshackle remains of the people trying to revive a society, doomed to it's foul history.

Historia
The long-awaited new novel from Margaret Atwood. The Year of the Flood is a dystopic masterpiece and a testament to her visionary power. The times and species have been changing at a rapid rate, and the social compact is wearing as thin as environmental stability. Adam One, the kindly leader of the God's Gardeners - a religion devoted to the melding of science and religion, as well as the preservation of all plant and animal life - has long predicted a natural disaster that will alter Earth as we know it. Now it has occurred, obliterating most human life.

Environment Distopia
Revisado: 11-30-19
All of the books in this series construct a totalitarian world, portrayed through the eyes of a dozen richly developed characters. They story speaks to the technological egotism of humanity, driven by corporate greed, with a great helping of eco-feminism throughout. Definitely essential reading for those concerned about anthropogenic climate change.

Historia
Traumatized by the bombing of Dresden at the time he had been imprisoned, Pilgrim drifts through all events and history, sometimes deeply implicated, sometimes a witness. He is surrounded by Vonnegut's usual large cast of continuing characters (notably here the hack science fiction writer Kilgore Trout and the alien Tralfamadorians, who oversee his life and remind him constantly that there is no causation, no order, no motive to existence).

Historia
A young, naïve but ultimately courageous hedge knight, Ser Duncan the Tall towers above his rivals—in stature if not experience. Tagging along is his diminutive squire, a boy called Egg—whose true name is hidden from all he and Dunk encounter. Though more improbable heroes may not be found in all of Westeros, great destinies lay ahead for these two . . . as do powerful foes, royal intrigue, and outrageous exploits. Featuring more than 160 all-new illustrations by Gary Gianni, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms is a must-have collection that proves chivalry isn’t dead—yet.

If you're a fan of Westrosi cannon, you will love the tales of Dunc and Egg. It's truly a fun tale that shows why Sir Duncan the Tall is a legend in the times of "A Game of Thrones"

I decided to write an article for people who want to understand the basic rules that are used in meetings. What are these rules? They are the guidelines for conducting a meeting, allowing business to be carried out as smoothly and orderly as possible. Although I will not be able to detail the many nuances and special rules, the basics needed to conduct a meeting are explained that should help a meeting stay on track from start to finish.
