The content was great!
Revisado: 08-01-24
The content was so spot on. It doesn’t work in audiobook form because the material is so complex. The gifts and the challenges work, however, I found myself wanting to diagram it out to better understand all the interactions. I intent to keep working with the material online and/or on my Kindle.

Historia
Many of us lived previous lives as keepers of sacred knowledge that was taught in the ancient mystery schools. Much of this knowledge was lost through time due to disasters and destruction or death. The knowledge was reserved for a select few who devoted their lives to understanding and teaching it.

Historia
In this revolutionary book, renowned physician Gabor Maté eloquently dissects how in Western countries that pride themselves on their healthcare systems, chronic illness and general ill health are on the rise. Nearly 70 percent of Americans are on at least one prescription drug; more than half take two. In Canada, every fifth person has high blood pressure. In Europe, hypertension is diagnosed in more than 30 percent of the population. And everywhere, adolescent mental illness is on the rise. So what is really “normal” when it comes to health?

In awe by the expansive nature of this book.
Revisado: 04-01-23
I applaud Gabor Mate for the courage and vulnerability he demonstrates through his writing. The depth and breadth of subject matter is beyond comprehension. This is a “must read” for anyone who cares about humanity and the planet we live on. I am a licensed mental health provider and am saying Amen to all that is written here.
