Good advice, good approach
Revisado: 02-07-18
I gave 3 stars for “solid”. Alternative title: Stop Procrastination and Indecision.
The Good:
1. Practical advice, simple to put into practice.
2. Author identifies with the issues we have relating to stalling, hesitating and the consequences of not taking action.
3. Gives perspective in addition to motivation.
The Bad (not really bad, but really annoying):
1. Like too many self improvement books, the author spends an entire chapter selling you the book you’ve already purchased.
2. She says “literally” 100 times.
3. All of the useful info can be condensed into less than 1/2 the book.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s good. Just too long for what it offers

Good book, but beware......
Revisado: 08-07-17
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?
No.
Which character – as performed by Matt Baugher – was your favorite?
Himself
Any additional comments?
Don't get me wrong - it's overall, a good book with some really great lessons. However, be prepared for "bait-and-switch". Ultimately, the authors agenda is to proselytize. I really hate it when you read (or listen) to an entire book and towards the end you realize he's now shoving religion down your throat. If you are a Christian, you'll love it. It you are not, you'll feel betrayed.

Essentialism is more than a time-management strategy or a productivity technique. It is a systematic discipline for discerning what is absolutely essential, then eliminating everything that is not, so we can make the highest possible contribution toward the things that really matter.

One of the best books I've ever read
Revisado: 08-07-17
What other book might you compare Essentialism to and why?
Perspective is elusive - practical application even harder. This book is practical and to the point, with an infinite amount of take-away's. Unlike other self improvement books, the author doesn't talk to you like you're a child that never explored this stuff. Simple concepts, but with better "how-to".
Any additional comments?
Definitely one of my favorites.
