Great beginning pre-series audiobook for a wonderful entire series!

This is my first audiobook review. This happened to come out after I had listened to the whole series and glad it did as it really supplemented the series. Was more than happy to acquire this even after finishing listening to the series it answered questions and generally lifted my enjoyment of all of the series books. I don’t think there’s any issue in listening to this before the series books .. totally up to you, I don’t believe there’s any reason to wait or give this one a shot before committing to the whole series if you want, but I bet if you do, you’ll get the rest.

Idk what to say

I’m just left bewildered at the end. The voice cast was awesome just like the first, but the story just seemed empty. Idk, Idk. Also has weird ambient sounds during like a truck backing up in chapter 12 that started driving me crazy as well as a different beeping noise somewhere else like someone was using my toaster oven that didn’t make sense and was distracting. Just weird. This probably doesn’t help, but I was really looking forward to this follow up from immensely enjoying book one, but just left speechless… with a tad of disappointment. In the end I guess I could have been fine with end being book one rather than considering this book as a continuation of book one. Just disappointed.

Surprised at how comical this is!

Literally laughed out loud countless times while listen walking around home listening. Well thought out book even Seinfeld-esk; comedy at completely normal activities and absurd situations; like how it’s not just about the bdsm life, but the comedy of normal everyday life too. Will admit picked up for the possibility of naughty bits to spicy up a little bleak covid isolation, but happily surprised by the comedy and entertaining content. Blew through first two series and looking forward to third. British feel to it really hits home for the rawness for main characters.

Narration very well done with great pairing of story. I really enjoyed this and would recommend. Keep going back to listen to already listened to bits to laugh and enjoy MCs swagger.. oddly addicted to it. Kind of like that friend who doesn’t sugarcoat love it. Kudos Miranda.. top drawer!! Wonder if we’ll get something else… can’t wait to see. : )

Worst narration I’ve heard yet (first part)

Narration was so bad I can only assume production staff just left the room immediately. I couldn’t take listening to her any longer stopped in the first minute and requested refund.
Couldn’t get anywhere with the story(s) so can’t comment on that. It was like she paused after ever nine words... so it mentally felt like I was in a rocking boat. Just terrible.

Great audio book

I really enjoyed it, it was free so didn’t go into it with much expectations; however would have delighted with it if had spent money on it.
Story was great, good humor sprinkled in here and there to make it quite enjoyable; Christian, Ben, Carrie, were all fantastic... and Bree too did a great job. Just finished listened to it while doing house work, but will listen to it again to fully enjoy it. Really like Bree’s voice and funny at times when hearing a “familiar” voice like Christian’s. Not that I know him or anything, but have seen him in many films.. kind of like having a friend in the room - if not sounding too weird. Very good at recognizing voices - I was stunned Carrie was in Infinity War and I didn’t recognize her voice; saw that movie a fair few times.

Great cast, story, all around excellent production - very happy with it. Ben and Justice I just don’t know well enough voice wise to pick out, but thought everyone did a great job! Heard some audiobooks where the narrator seems like their just reading a page with no feeling behind it monotoned like a robot. Not this one, production was tight, actors made it feel real which is everything you want in an audio book/play... whatever you’d call this.

All in all would highly recommend!

Narrator was too distracting to follow story

The entire first chapter sounded like a robot reading a run-on sentence. Listening to this makes my ears go out of focus finding I keep missing stretches of it like going in and out of sleep. Have no idea what any of the story is in first chapter. Couldn’t listen to anymore... just gave up. Sharon has a good voice, but reads monotoned. Makes me want to buy the book to see if there is any punctuation in the first chapter.
So want my money back! Buyer Beware.

Enjoyed this book

This is my second Lee Bacon book and I really enjoyed this and the other. Both were really good stories. This one the voice actors were a little annoying at times, but fully believe it was part of the required sounds/“reading” of the book i.e. the robot, but all in all really enjoyed it. Listened to it twice (skipping over ta couple of the previous stated parts.) Highly recommended as a young adult story enjoyable for all ages
